  I ordered one of these from PTC a few months ago. It's a really nice kit with a good app - and it's all worked really well. I was impressed with the general quality of the parts and the way the PCB can be wired to handle different setups.

  I'm interested in the video camera Remootio have just released, but know I should probably look more broadly at home camera systems.

  I'd not dealt with PTC before, but they had good communication and everything went smoothly.

    Does it deal with actually detecting the door state for roller doors?

      It comes with a wired sensor and magnet. You can configure the system so it knows the door is open if the magnet and sensor are along-side each other or not (normally you'd want them to indicate closed when the magnet is next to the sensor). I have this set up for a segmented door, but would think you could work it out for a roller door.

    Remootio can also connect with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, and also have an Auto-open function which is the only product in the same price market.

    Yes, that's what I got (Meross) and it's a great unit. App is nice, and having things like door remaining open alerts, auto close and auto open, etc. is nice.

  Seems like this might work with a sliding gate, is that right? If so, does it tap into the gate motor power source?

    Yes, it does with sliding gate and uses any of the power sockets so do not worry about the gate motor power source.

  I like the GPS geofencing that will open it automatically as you approach.

  I don’t think the others mentioned in comments (Meross) have that????
