    While the mini 2 is much better, its also over $200 more when on sale!
    So if this is as far as your budget can stretch this is a great price for a mini 1

    Im waiting for the mini 2 to drop below 600 before I consider it.

    Longer distance, although in Aus, you have a limit of the distance you can fly the drone…

      The practical limit is when you can no longer see it… probably well within the technical capability of the Mini 1 or 2. (if you fly within CASA's rules)

    DJI Mini 2 is capable of 4K/30fps (Mini 2.7K/30fps), New remote (Ocusync 2.0) means longer distance and better signal, Level 5 wind resistance (Mini had Level 4). Supports RAW compare to Mini's JPEG only. HOWEVER, if you're just a casual and only do drone shots for family videos and nothing commercial, the Mini is more than capable for your needs.

      Thank you, this was my conclusion and reasoning too after comparing the two and deciding on OW price beaten mini combo for $570, as its gonna be my first drone and i am no pro photographer either who works with RAW.
