Dark Side of the Moon colour is the same price

Thanks, got one. Any mouse recommendations?

    • Thanks bought one!

  • List price Was: AU $389.00

    Why so expensive?

    • +4

Alienware branding and Cherry MX keys

  • "The code can't be applied to your order" (when applying the code PDLL20 at checkout). Why? Please help…

  • This keyboard or the Razer Blackwidow elite?

Huh, the keyboard cable splits into two.

    • +3

One is for USB pass through. You could just plug one in if you don’t want to use the USB port on the keyboard

      • Hmmm seriously considering the Lunar. I think its the more beautiful one out of the two…even though my computer gear is black themed!

  • Don't forget to stack with 3% suncorp rewards.

    $143.20 comes to $138.90

Also, purchased dark side of the moon colour :)

  • The panel is plastic

  • +1

What's the regular price on this?

Edit: $266.90 from Amazon AU or $259.04 via Amazon UK import on Amazon AU

Interestingly the Amazon listing says that the keyboard requires batteries

Batteries 2 AA batteries required. (included)

I wonder what they are used for?

    • +1

      It doesn’t use batteries

is his that good a deal sure 50% off but mechanical keyboards can be much cheaper https://computers.mwave.com.au/electronics/Tecware-Phantom

    • Are these good quality?

    • +3

Like with everything else you can get cheaper.
The Dell keyboard looks pretty sweet, most likely better build quality and it's got USB pass through, not to mention cherry MX switches oh and on board memory plus many other features.
The ones you linked look pretty dull, questionable build quality and even from the shitty pic you can see horrible backlit bleeding.
Each to their own I guess.

      • I mean thanks for the review, have you used it ?

They are decent. Build quality better than the corsair I had. Look up the reviews its a decent keyboard.

Dull ? I mean you think the OP is an exciting keyboard, its (profanity) alienware rgb. They both have stupid RGB. I would like a leopold (3x the price) but out of stock everywhere.

I would definitely get the tecware over frickin dell.

    • +3

why not just go bottom of the barrel and link that kmart mech kb

      • What switches does it use ? Have you tried it out ? I wouldn'yt be surprised if they were built int he same factory, just with different stickers.

I have a tecware, previously had a corsair. Wouldn't know the difference in typing feel.

I fyou look up reviews from respected sources the tecware gets very high scores.

  • Hey everyone, delivery is showing up as 4-5 weeks :/

  • Went to buy it but I'm couldn't, from the looks of it Dell Ebay has blocked me from purchasing from them because I left a neg feedback as I hadn't received my order after 2 months.

    • -3

Fair for them I guess. You could have tried to resolve the issue with them rather than neg.

      • Contacted them everytime the delivery date was changed to get a solid date but the dat was changed again. From the looks of the amount of the neg they have received it wasn't just me.

        Edit: .

  • wow, not even wireless?

    • +1

If you need something like this that's wireless, there is Logitech G915 which goes around for $300 bucks.
I think Keychron would be a cheaper alternative.

      • -1

I got the G613, best keyboard ever!!!

  • +4

Thanks I bought 2. One for each hand.

  • Are there Brown LP keys? I'm a huge fan of scissor switch, would love to give LP keys a go.

    • Cherry MX Low Profile aren't all that low profile at all. I'd go for the Keychron K1/K3 or Logitech G815/G915 if you like scissor switches and want a low profile switch.

      • +2

I don't think Cherry Low Profile switches have a "brown" as well so there is that as well. As in I think all their offerings are in linear (Speed Silver and Red).

      • I wanted to get Keychron but shipping is crazy from their website. Do you know where I can get them. I checked Mwave but they have the older versions.

        • Mwave have the V4 from what I can see. Stock is the main issue with these. Seems no one has Browns. Reds are available from Amazon and Ebay, same seller, blues from that seller or from Mwave last time I checked. Haven't checked TKL stock as I've been looking for the full sized.

Sorry had completely missed your question about browns earlier, seems you would be competing with me for stock in that case hah.

  • Bought, but I just realised red switches are linear… (I'm a mechanical keyboard noob)
I don't game on PC so I've been after a good deal on a brown switch (preferably white) keyboard for a few months now..

Worthwhile to change switches or just cancel the order?

    • +1

Get the AW410K, that has Cherry MX Brown's (if you can do without white).

      • Cheers looks like that's my best option, or wait for another deal.

Sounds like switches are soldered to the board.

  • +1

    Thanks, bought one

  • +1

I ended up purchasing the AW410K, due to that one having Cherry MX Brown switches (instead of low profile red's of the AW510K).
Due to get delivery of it tomorrow.

  • Any TKL's on special? Can't use the full profile anymore :(

  • Might seem like a dumb question… but are these any good for typing for work?

    • +2

As they’re linear switches, they’re near silent which makes them good for work or typing through zoom calls. I got one from JB about a month ago.

  • If you're looking for a good mechanical keyboard try the brand Ducky. Recently switched from Logitech's for life and I love it. Bit cheaper too I've found.

  • +3

    back in stock

  • Anyone received any shipping information?

    • I order this keyboard and a mouse together I received the keyboard today

  • Received the keyboard today. Super impressed with it. Great tactile feel and doesn't make that much noise. White keyboard looks great when lighting is switched on.
