  • You are bargainer of month…

  • And thanks for update your recipt

  • go gopiky! Awesome deal mate, well done :)

  • I think LG TV's are really great value for money given that a lot of them come with 3 years warranty.

I bought http://www.binglee.com.au/lg-47lw5700-47-full-hd-3d-led-lcd-… plus http://www.binglee.com.au/lg-bd660-network-3d-blu-ray-disc-p…. This stupid silly popcorn maker that costs $148 at bing lee came free with it as well (http://www.powerbuys.com.au/featured-products/classic-series…).

    I ended paying $1355 - $300 cash back = $1055. ( This was 2 weeks ago).

I tried to sell the popcorn maker to the sales guy for 50 bucks but he wouldn't buy it.

Let me know if you want me to post up the receipt.

LG Cinema 3D tv's can be used with ordinary cinema glasses.
(for those who are concerned about having to spend heaps on additional glasses, I think this is a sensible product)

    • It comes with 4.

      • In europe they come with 7 (2, plus a coloured party pack of 5). If you have a group of people you may want more than 4 or even 7. Also, they are rather fragile, so may not last as long as the tv.

        • Yeah, but they're pretty disposable. Take some friends out to see a 3D movie in the cinema, and buy all their glasses off them afterwards for a dollar. Easily double your collection.

  • This has 3 years warranty :)

my personal opinion this is the best TV in the market with very good features where lot of TV's don't have

  • compared to Samsung 55" LED TV - UA55D6000 - $1299 after Cashback, which one is better?
    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/59989

    • depends to a large degree on how many glasses you need, given that for the Samsung these could set you back $100s for a handful.

      • samsung have a promo i think, buy 2 pairs get 2 free… not sure if is at store level or samsung website.

        • battery glasses are $50 each. or $30 on ebay/

    • Well, it's passive 3D versus active on the Samsung. I'm think the Samsung will have a bit better picture quality though because Samsungs are generally pretty good, but I'm mentally comparing the Samsung to a cheaper line of LG's I've been looking at; the model in this deal is probably better.

I'd guess there isn't much in it really, but 3D without flicker would be a better experience (if you actually use it a lot).

      • can anyone actually comment one passive vs active? never had a look at a passive 3d tv, have the PS51D550 which is pretty good, i think anyway

        • if you've seen a 3d movie, you've probably seen the quality of the passive 3d technology.

    • Go and have a look instore. I know when I bought mine about a year and a half ago (Sammy 7000 series LED LCD) I wouldn't have touched the LG with a barge pole after trying one instore, the 3D effect just made everything look like a series of cardboard cutouts, unlike the Samsung and Sony tv's with a realistic 3D effect.

Chances are they've improved now though. And the passive 3D is pretty cool (recharging the glasses for mine is a pain). But definitely go and see what you're getting first.

Passive 3D is worth making a fuss over.

    I like the lg's.

But regards passive bs flicker, some fussy ppl may want to know before hand:

Flicker alternate frames. This means each frame can display a full 1080p while displaying 3D.

Passive use a polarized interlace. Each alternate row of pixels has a different polarization. This means it can't achieve a 1080p frame in 3D.

    Hope that helped!

  • Awesome im in the process of trying to get one of these. I got it down to $1900 without the bluray in dick smith and nearly went for that.

What happens here do I just take in a copy of this receipt and ask for a price match? Im in WA so will they do it since this is for Victoria?

    • Just say its your cousin in Victoria :)

  • This is the TV I've wanted just waiting for the price to come down… This deal seems sweet.. Would you think a better deal will be available at post xmas sales? hmmm hard to say with LG giving $300 cashback..

  • JB & HN are not ready to give on this price. They say's it is in vic. not in perth or WA. Is it true?

    • Check the receipt link.. Its in Vic.

  • I have the 47" (47LW6500) and love it.

I got it a month ago for $1170 + $100 delivery from Bing Lee so this might be an option for people taking the $300 cash back offer.
