24" seems a bit small for a curve?

    • +7

We used this monitor ourselves, yeah~~, we agree it's not as curved as can see the monitor bent, but it definitely is not flat. It is good for first person shooting games, for those who only want to move the eyeball a little bit to see the full view of the enemy, don’t need to turn the head to view the full screen.

        Should have*

        Ftfy

  • How is this for regular work (non-gaming activity)?

    • Money wasted, since you're paying extra for the high refresh rate. I personally don't see its benefits for office tasks

      • Makes sense. Thanks, mate.

          • @virco: Is the Samsung one better than the Samsung one coming up at Aldi special buys on Saturday?

          • @virco: Also how long for delivery approx?

            • +1

@Westpac: Got all of these in stock , would post out on the same day of purchase , cut off time 3pm Sydney time (weekday only)

              • @virco: Thanks. Centrecom has same one for $139 with free shipping. This is approx $15 shipping so works out to be almost the same.

                • @Westpac: We should change our ad to: $134, free shipping for the comparison.

          • @virco: Can I suggest these (and any near future promotion announced in this thread) be also added into the actual post's body content for ease of reference?

            Thanks!

@abcdefcuk: courier hasn't show up yet, so which mean you just made it for today's despatch.

  • tft? not even ips?

    • +4

      27" is IPS

  • srgb rating? p3 colour gamet? hdr? 10 or 8 bit? pixel density?

  • My bad. Delete my comment.

    • ??

the code for 27" is VircoJan2021Monitor27Sale

      describe as above.

      • Yep sorted it out.

Still trying to decide whether to buy another one.

Great monitor, but I don't love ASUS dead pixel policy, and the speakers are unusable for multimedia or gaming (barely usable for office), but at least it has an outgoing 3.5mm jack. I miss chunkier monitors with real speakers.

  • Not a fan of mine, impossible to get my colour profile right on it and it whines when the brightness is below 100%.

EDIT: Sorry that's regarding the Viewsonic VX2458-C-MHD.

  • Almost bought the 24 inch until I realised it was a tft panel, nevermind lol.

  • (and in the same time testing how Couple Code work) :P

Googles 'Couple Code', gets relationship advice 🤔

    • ROFL, thank you for pick that one up, all fixed… good one though….

      • I didn't know it was a typo, hence the googling lol

  • +3

Friendly rep, competitive price. Will remember ViewSonic for future purchases.

Curved monitors are a gimmick like 3D was a couple of years ago. Totally unnecessary.

Pretty solid offer if you want it though.

  • Wishing I could use 144hz of this monitor on my xbox series s lol..

  • +2

Working on a Sunday so hats off virco. Have you had a chance to compare side by side the Asus 27" with it's AOC nemesis? Interested in your thoughts and will you be running any deals on the AOC?

Research suggests the Asus dead pixel policy isn't exactly glowing, though this may be true for all.

    • yes, planning to run AOC and MSI monitor deals later on when we are in full capacity of building machines.

Can't really compare AOC and ASUS, put aside with the tech spec, ASUS is a well known brand while AOC is actually good with their panel. Would like to find our more about how ozbargainer react with the monitor deal.

So far we are surprised to see the comments with ASUS, its not as same as the walk-in customer.

  • Any deal on the AOC C32G2E?

  • Hi @virco can you please respond to your emails. I’ve contact you a few times without response regarding missing pieces from the PC i purchased off you in January. Much appreciated.

          Hi josephjr,
Yes, we have found both of your emails from our junk mail folder, sorry about that. (one from thursday, the other one from yesterday, did we miss any?)

The screw you are after is actually not come with the case, however we do have some spare screw lying around our tech bench, we can mail it to you.

anything else, please call us on 02 9212 3419, or pm us. Thank you

  • Looks like no VESA mount on this

  • Sounds like people online aren't too happy about the stand wobble on the Viewsonic.

So perhaps not for the more… vigorous of desk slammers out there.

    • yah i had one before i bought the dgf…..it's pretty wobbly.

  • Just wondering, how's the delivery time?

    • We post on the same day, cut off time is 3pm Sydney time.

  • Has the price changed for the 27" Asus monitor?

    • ??
Did you use coupon code ?

  • Just wondering, can I pick up my purchase from the Haymarket store, instead of using 3rd party shipping ?

Also is payment in store accepted ? (EFTPOS)

    • +1

      Yes, see you then

  • Ordered the Asus yesterday, using it in Melbourne today. So far, so good thank you.
