How does it pour? Say if I'm doing v60 and I want good control over my pour?
It's not the greatest as it has a wide lip, not narrow like normal jugs but can master it over time. Imagine pouring out of a bowl (exaggerated). For the price it's great and I'd put up with it.

this one says “Morphy Richards Dick, Dick…..Hot” (and repeat) when water is boiled.
the description implies it's real wood on the base? or just a wood-look plastic like others I've seen?

it is actually stainless steel inside. Just the lid part is plastic, and the fake wood bits on the outside.
