  • I take it they'll need CC details? Cancels automatically?

    • Yeh you'll nee CC details or Paypal but need to cancel it yourself before promotion period expires otherwise you have to pay a joining fee of $12.99 if you continue on.

    • Yes you need to add CC details. Doesn't cancel automatically. You get added automatically as a normal member on a $23/month plan and you also will be charged for a one off sign-up fee of $12. If you want to cancel you must do so before the end of the 62 day free period and have returned all discs.

      • I just rang them up and they said they will be happy to wave the $12.00 if I was to continue on after the promotion period was finished.

        • When you attempt to cancel online, currently they are making an attempt at customer retention by offering to cut the monthly fee in half for the next two months.

    • You can cancel online.

      LOL what a tightarse!!!!!

    • Lol I got a letter in the mail yesterday from Quickflix with 4 free gift cards to give out for a free 2 month trial.

      • BAHAHAHAH i just found out this woman gave them out to all staff in the work place, and everyone was really impressed that she spent so much

  • Usual disclaimer applies: make sure you send back the last of your DVDs at least a week early, otherwise they'll conveniently take extra long to get back to them and be processed and you'll get billed for the first month anyway.

This is not my experience. I cancelled the day before payment was due and they allowed 7 days to receive them.

wow 2 months free. thats nice.

i only got the 1month free. and im using it atm.

its pretty good. get around 4movies a week if lucky.

the delay in sending and recieving restricts new movies to be sent out, if they havent recieved their previous movies.

all i rent is blu-ray movies, and they are great quality!

  • So I joined up do I just leave the movies in my qeue and wait for them to be sent, there doesn't seem to be a checkout page. Also how many DVD get sent out is it one at a time? Couldn't this info in the FAQ

    • +2

Yes, once in your queue, Quickflix attempts to fulfill from the #1 position. They are removed from your queue when they are sent out. Under this deal, they will send out a maximum of two items at a time. When you send one back you can mark it as returned and if you do it early enough in the day, they will send out another later that same day.

  • All I want to try is streaming…waiting for discs to be posted is so last decade :)

    • +1

      not really.

      a blu-ray disc is 50gb

so you wont get the quality and sound experience from a blu ray disc over streaming.

streaming always has low quality video and sound.

  • Website down Ozbargained

  • anyone know if this will be available for the new PS3 streaming service which is being released sometime before the end of this month? I'll give it a try to see how it goes for streaming movies
