IMHO, the best way is to get is the no lock-in contract ($99 activation) and if you decided to change your mind, you are free to do it anytime.

If you are on Opticomm estate, use this deal.

Frankly, not much of a deal if you look at offers by other providers. Tangerine has 50/20 for $54.90 for the first 6 months ($69.90 thereafter). No contract, no setup fee.

Yep, and therein lies the problem.
If these "lower tiered" RSP's all start low-balling with prices to win your business then they could be (and probably are) scrimping elsewehere.
The trouble is, if you're locked into a contract then your options are very limited if the service/performance is rubbish.
      No deal.

      • Based on what ex-uniti customers have told me, Uniti's service isnt that great though so I would personally look at SL who are offering 100/40 and 50/20 ($59.95) and then $98.95/$69.96 after 6 with no contract. However to Uniti's credit their CS is Adelaide based and their fixed wireless network is also an option

So it's a contract but it's not a contract.. Honestly why do ISP's persist with contracts?? that ship has sailed, unless your going to offer more services or a much better deal than month to month is the answer.

Lol, yeah nah. It's $64/m for 50/20 after factoring in the free month and you're locked into a 12m contract. I don't see how this is even a deal.

  • I was a big fan of Uniti until their reshuffle and then support, especially billing support, became terrible. I'd steer clear of them and go for one of OzBs favourites at this price.

  • any deals on opticomm?

These contract within NBN shouldn’t be in business anymore. Gain customers with trust and reputation rather than fixing contract.

    • Totally agree.
