  • How do you install it?

    • +2

Plugs into the CN-CNT connector on the board, you'll need to remove the entire outer cover assembly and board cover to gain access to it, make sure you cut the power first before doing so.

      • +1

Spot on mate. Very simple and straight forward to install

  • Using these controllers, can I prevent people from turning the air con on at all?

    • +1

If you take the remote away, sure. Can still be turned on if you lift the front cover and press the override button.

Retravision was selling this for $149 not long ago.

  • Is this compatible with the CS-E12PKR??

    • +1

      Yes.

    • Hi Mate, yes it is

  • Whats the option for ducted heating and cooling ?? I have (RC-EX3) model installed.. any advise ?

    • If you have an infrared remote, there are ones that work with that too.

    • That is the wall controller model for a Mitsubishi Heacy Industries Ducted system. you would need the MHI-RC-WIFI-1 wifi module. We can supply that for $355 with free delivery

  • Is this compatible with CS/CU-E24PKR and does it integrate with Google home at all?

    Thanks!

Pana's info pages are useless :-)

    • Yes and yes.

      • +2

        Thankyou order has been placed!

Edit - and picked & packed and courier booked. These guys aren't mucking about lol

For anyone asking compatibility, you simply need the CN-CNT connector on the indoor unit board. Use manualslib to view the service manual of your model and check the wiring connection diagram to make sure it has the connector. Example here.

    • I can't find the service manual for mine on manualslib. Is CS-Z24RKR compatible with this? I think its 1 model too old. Thanks

      • I'm pretty sure your unit is "superseded current" as it is R32 refrigerant model, which this wifi module should work

        • Thanks. I'll try to confirm before purchasing.

@zztopgtb: We are 99% sure it will work. If it however doesn't work, we are happy to do a hassle free return :)

  • Why this vs sensibo?

    • Sensibo is simply an IR blaster with no feedback. This is an IOT-based device.

    • as PinzVidz said, he is spot on. It is plug and play compared to Sensibo IR blaster

  • +1

The wifi controller for the ducted unit is roughly $600. Why such huge difference when function is same?
Maybe want to price gouge more who buying the expensive ducted units?

    • +1

Yeah. 3x splits or 1x ducted.. Comes out similar cost.

    • if you have zoning, it is better to go something like an Airtouch4

    • +1

can do the CZ-CAPWFC1 for $330 with free delivery

  • I bought 2 at full price couple weeks ago. Device works really well.

Install was alot easier when the unit is on the floor
    But overall not too hard

  • I am using IR Blaster (e.g. Broadlink) for controlling Split Air, TV , Fan etc.. in my living room.
It costed me $45AUD. u can control with mobile app and can control remotely and also link it to Google Assistant, Alexa etc…

    • Same, can even tell google to turn on what mode and change temperature settings too.

  • Will this work with a CS/CU-E12LKR

    • +1

      ye mate, should work

  • Is this compatible with the CS-Z9RKR?

    • Sure is

  • will this work with CS/CU-Z12RKR?

    • yes it will :)

    • I've got the Z15RKR which is in the same operations manual as the Z12, I checked under the front cover where there was a small hatch with a screw, under that it had a diagram which lists the port needed. So I think it should work….however no idea how easy it is to install as I can't actually see the port!

        • Thanks looks easy enough! I had seen the YouTube video but when I saw it said integrated and Aero range I didn't watch it. Watching it now the insides look mostly the same!

          Ordered!

        • Don't suppose anyone is still reading this post? Where have you put the WIFI unit?! The video is for an A/C with a built in holder, my unit does not have this so not sure where to put the wire to get the WiFi unit on the wall, I can't close the unit with the adapter on the wall!

FYI it is all up and running and integrated with Google home, I just can't put the thing back together as the wire is in the way!

Edit: Sorted it…I simply pushed it in and left it lose, if I lift the front cover up it falls out.
