This seems like such good value compared to other brands.

It says “PS5 compatible” - I thought they hadn’t released their approved list yet?

    • Tested by SP themselves in guessing.

      • Sony PS5 wont boot if 2nd SSD installed, so i think this is a bit of potentially misleading marketing, at least at the minute while Sony havent released their approved SSD list.

  • Why is $10 off a deal now?

$10 off is better than nothing.

        Well it's not a bargain so it's a joke.

Find a better deal and post it here then?

  • Not fast enough for my brand new PS5. :(

    PS5 is too OP.

No the 'best alternative to the 980 Pro' is the WD SN850. It's not a cheap alternative, but it is unquestionably the best. It's also, most definitely not a 'bargain'.

    • Sandisk is for cameras. I'd take phison over that any day.

Read reviews of poor performance of this drive.

  • What's the best value 2tb nvme drive out there at the moment? Any deals?

  • silicon power's drives are reported to have a high failing rate on Amazon

  • I have its little brother 1TB NVMe PCIe Gen3x4 and it is freaking perfect.

It is currently attached to my Xbox Series X via an ASUS ROG Strix Arion USB3.2 GEN2 Type-C (10 Gbps).
It works just fine, heavy games like GTA opens within ~5-7 seconds. COD, Forza, Quick Resume, you name it.

No issues whatsoever. It does usually gets pretty hot tho. My previous SSD enclosure had a pretty sh1t chipset as well.
I keep everything on top of a laptop cooling pad, it runs cold and nothing to complain at all.

    • For the matter "by opens within" I mean from selecting the game to open and actually playing it :)

  • Managed to score a couple Samsung PM981a 2TBs for 180 bucks each! OEM equivalent to a 970 Pro! Keep an eye out on gumtree etc if ya real keen

    • Got any links??
