Wow that's a huge min. spend. How much do you normally spend on a shop?

      • Since the pandemic started, I’ve only shop with them online and usually spend $300-$400 per shop. I do that maybe 2-3 times a month. Before covid, I rarely exceed $100 a shop but I tend to do mini purchases at Woolies (as it’s closer to me) about three to four times a week and spend $15-$30 per shop.

        • You were making me feel a little better about our weekly spend, but you're right, we live close to a Coles and the mini shops do add up.

          • +1

@chriise: The fruit and veggies are so expensive at ColesWorth. I reckon Australia could be the most expensive in the world when it comes to fruit & veggies. Don’t get me started on organics! Lately I have cut back on buying organic veggies.

    • Got $160 for 9600 points. Never seen an offer that big for normal shopping.

  • +2

    9000 pts for $150

  • Does alcohol contribute to the spend?

    • +1

Possibly, but you'd need to order through Coles online, not shop in store at Liquorland. Check the T&C.

  • 4000 for $100 shop

  • 500 for $50

  • 8000 for $200 here

  • 5400 flybuys Points When You Spend $90 at Coles

I got this, Woolies & Aldi are my main supermarkets so only buy a few bits and pieces from Coles.

    • Stock up on toilet paper

      • The shops were fully stocked 2 days into the Perth lockdown. The supermarkets must have learnt from last time and kept a massive stockpile in the warehouses.

  • 4400 for $110

  • 9800 for $130

    • Sure

      • 7800

        • 5200

      • +4

WTF? That's what I received, why would I make it up lol?

        • +2

Yes, Coles has gone a bit crazy but good. I just finished a 3 week deal - total spend $90 and get 10,000 points. Yes 55% off.

          • +2

@Yola: Same here. But not only that, there was another stackable offer 1800pt for $30, which was followed at end date with another 1800pt for $30. I used it on the last day of the first 1800pt and got both to my surprise - so a total 3800pts, plus the points for the 3-week offer (2000pt for 1st week $30 spend). The whole shop was practically free. I hardly shop at Coles, but with such a good offer, who can resist? :-)

            • @bluesky: Good thing you are telling them so they realise it and put a stop to it!

              • +1

@Mad Max: There is that possibility, I suppose. The alternative is to keep any nice surprises to yourself and never share. I have benefited in the past from many who share here. In this instance, I decided to share, hoping some others in the same circumstance could benefit from it. But I know what you are saying.

                • +1

@bluesky: Cheers bluesky, have noticed this before and ignored it as a one off. Worked nicely on a $60 Friday spend to get 4000 points. Will actively pursue from now on. Thanks for sharing, and hopefully they plug the hole later rather than sooner :).

          • @Yola: Yeah i got that too

  • 5400 for $80

  • +1

    Unattainble

  • 3,600 for $90 = No Thanks!

Lol, I just checked and I have another one which gives me 2000 for $80 spend!

So totally, 5600 points if spend $90!

    • +1

Probably not valid on the same days, for me at least that is the case

      • It is if I shop today :)
I am thinking to use flybuy to do this purchase!

        • Are you sure the new offer doesn't start Saturday?

          ETA, just noticed already answered.

    • +2

Make sure you check the dates - I thought I had overlapping overs, but then noticed I have one that ends today (7,600 for $190), and the other starts tomorrow (10,000 for $200)

      • The 2000 one ends today and 3600 one ends in 4 days :)

        • +3

Check the details of the one that ends in 4 days. Mine says it starts on Saturday, so no overlap for the two offers.

          • +2

@nattie: OMG! yesss you are right!

            Thanks for saving me man.

Other guys also said the same but I didn't understand till I checked carefully (V_V)

  • +7

Got spend $30 and get 3600

    • +4

I think you win so far

      • Thanks Kerfuffle 😁

    • 1 x $30 3,600 points or you have 2 x $30 1,800 points stacking?

      • +2

The second one but I found that if you do it on the last day as someone previously mentioned. They give you both.

        • They give you both?
But they have a period that doesn't cover each other

          • +4

@SnoozeAndLose: Try it. It works for me.

            • @nightelves: Confirmed, it works multiple times for me. Today i have 1 offer 5600pts $140, 9000pts $150 and 500pts $110. Wife shopped $180, we will get 15.1k points

              • @od810: I think their system doesn't really have a "start date" for offers, just an end date. As long as an offer is activated it is good to go.

On the other hand, Woolies system is better (or worse?) in the sense of having a starting date.

          • +2

@SnoozeAndLose: Afternoon on the last day of the expiring bonus is the time for a shopping spree:)

        • Good thing you are telling them so they realise it and put a stop to it!

          • @Mad Max: Dude someone already talk about it way before I did.

  • +1

Totally targetted, and flybuys is a joke - Its been 6 months since I've received any offers.

    • I get them every week, maybe you have unsubscribed?

      • How do I check that?

        • Use the app

          • @J5: That IS what I use. Never anything. I'll just stop shopping there then.

    • +2

Agree. Both email and app show none of these types of offers in the last couple of months (there are some individual product point offers for products I'm not the least bit interested in, credit card offer etc but none of these spend a certain amount to be given a number of bonus points)

  • 7200 for $120 here

  • Spend $130 get 5200. Is best Buy items counted towards your Spend.

  • 5600 for $140

    • I got the same

    • same here too

  • 6600 points for $110 spend within 4 days for me.

I shop at Coles at least 2x a week.

  • +1

    6600 for $110,

Can I buy gift cards or it doesn't count?

    • +1

      just read the T&Cs.

      doesnt count, same with ciggies.
      No mention on alcohol

  • +1

    $240 for 10k here
    Big data eh?

  • +1

    8400 for $140

    • Same for me!

  • 5400 at $90 and 4000 at $100

Would I get both offers if I spend $100?

    • +2

Check the time periods, I suspect one ends today and one starts tomorrow. Sometimes they overlap and I've had them overlap and get both if you hit $100, but your mileage may vary

      • You are kinda right, one is online shopping only (ends Sunday). So I think I can still combine them.

  • 2400 for $60, guess they've noticed I've only been going their for the midweek shop

  • +2

6000 points for $100 spend. Seems OK

19 tubs of Connoisseur brings them in around $3.90 each.

    • You have to remember you don't get a discount, you get a credit.

You'd have to spend the other $30 on more icecream to have the maths right. so you'd get 24 tubs for $104.50 plus have $2.5 credit left over (or could use 24.5 tubs of icecream bought).

Either $4.35 or $4.26 depending how you look at it.

      • Thanks for the correction

Looks like I have been looking at things incorrectly for last 77 years.

Imho the 6000 points gives me a return of 30% or $30 of other items free

30% off $5.50 I think equals $1.65 hence the ice cream nett price is $3.85.

Too much ice cream anyway for my liver.

        • Here's a simple way to calculate it:
          30/130 = 23%

          23% off $5.50 = $4.235

So you see, you are effectively saving 23% not 30%.

          • +2

            @TEER3X: Thanks for correction.

Doc says Tim Tams would be better for me anyway so I will end up with 65 packs of double chocolate coated Tim Tams for my $100 at a

cost of $1.5385 each. (23% off) the already discounted 50% price.

            • +2

@IanC: Tim Tams have a ½ health star rating, so to get it to 5 stars you would need to eat 10 I think.

I'm not sure what happens if you eat the whole pack of 11, I've never heard of 5½ star health rating so it might reset back to ½ a star.
