Gotta love RFID blocking gear when the total number of RFID skimming cases world wide is zero… Could be an OK wallet though.

selling blocking gear where the demand only exists due to fear.

"and here we have a skimming devices.. see how easy it is to steal your details?"

"But you are waving a metal detector wand right up to the guy's arse?.. you don't think people will notice"

      "… maybe.."

I hate wallets that block RFID. It means I have to take my work pass out of my wallet every time I need to touch on to access doors and lifts.

      • Bluetooth access from phones is awesome.

      No it isn't

  • Ah yes, need a wallet for my black card, gold card and platinum charge card

    • I'll let you know if it fit's my Platinum card tomorrow;-)

Is RFID an actual security threat? Seems like a non issue to me

    • +1

Depends on where you move, if you are moving in crowded spaces and have paypass on for your cards. someone can actually take money out of your account (have happened to me in Movie World theme park, was a lengthy process getting the money back, since it happened in holidays.

Please show a trusted news reference to skimming from a wallet, bag, purse or pocket. Last time I checked this has never happened i.e. RFID blocking wallets are not required for securing RFID. Having said all that I purchased this one as I'm hoping the leather is nice:)

RFID blocking wallets are just a layer of foil inside the leather. You can do this yourself by cutting out some foil and lining your current wallet.

      • Hahaha. Doesn't work. Have you tried it?.

I've wraps double layers foil around my card and I can still tap and go.

        • That's strange, I've seen videos of people testing this and confirmed it

          • @Herbse: Might be differences between US and AUD foil.

I know it doesn't work on mine.

Might be differences between US and AUD foil.

It's because they pronounce aluminium wrong

        • works for me - three to four folds and it blocks it for me if on the outside. I use it in the middle to separate different cards that interfere with each other.

  • Will they take $5?

    • No, price is non negotiable

  • hmm

    Cognac colour is $50.

    Boo hoo!

That's how Amazon does things. Usually, when an item is down to its final units they do quick sales.

Would not 100% recommend these. Those of you who missed out you're lucky. They wear out pretty quickly and I found myself having to chuck it away in 3 months. I just resort to the normal chunky wallets. If you are after those snappy card wallets with RFID protection, I'd recommend those literally solid wallets. It's a bit more expensive.

Also, I think this was one of my worst purchases lol

      • I got the Bellroy pocket last year and it’s still perfect. Idk if yours was faulty bc mine still looks new

        • +1

This deal is not for a Bellroy wallet

  • +1

I've been using an otto one from amazon for a couple of years now that's pretty similar and is around twenty bucks all the time. No complaints and it's still going strong

  • +2

Been using one of these for a few years. Holds about 4-6 cards in the pop up holder which gives very quick access and has been very durable. Cash is a bit of a pain as you have to trifold it and it makes creases in the bills, but I rarely use cash now.

  • looks ugly and useless

  • If you put 2 CC cards with PayPass activated or a bank card + opal card, wouldn't that confuse the scanner? in a way blocks the transactions?
