    Thanks!

Had been waiting for the 2000A to get down to it's sale price since my old man started eyeing off my 1500A. Sure he will appreciate the bigger one for his birthday before he sets into retirement with his Landcruiser and caravan.

    Cheers!! 👍

I would say the GP4000 with a bigger battery is still a better buy for only $40 more.

    • But if this one good enough for the occasional dead battery on a car?

      • I have had the 2000a about 6 months and finally used it several times last week as my battery was on its last legs. Started my 6 cylinder lpg falcon so easy.

    • I was considering the difference too.

In terms of uses, what can the 4000A provide that the 2000A can't?

Maybe a better question is, what are the benefits of going from the 2000A to the 4000A?

      TIA

I have a 2000A and use it to power camp lights around the gazebo in the 12v socket.

The 2000A has a 20,000 mAh capacity and the 4000A one has a 26,800 mAh capacity (which I believe is the max capacity you can take on an aircraft?)

So, it would be longer lasting as a power bank, but unless you plan on jump starting a Mack truck I’m sure the 2000A will be fine.

    • Wow, looking at the images in the product description this one can even charge a PSP!

      https://www.amazon.com.au/GOOLOO-SuperSafe-Starter-Battery-P…

      • I especially like the last image that have the teeth of the positive and negative lead cables overlapping each other and labelled Supersafe 🤣🤣🤣

        • If you scroll right down to the detailed description you see they say it has "short circuit protection" so this would be protecting against directly connecting positive and negative. "Supersafe"?

Also has "reverse connection protection", the 1500A one has "reserve connection protection".

          • @AnophthalmiaCervidae: Oh, okay. Cool!

I remember reading the manual when I got my 1500A and it saying don't connect the positive and negative leads and thinking "good tip"!

Nice to hear this safety is built in to avoid Darwinism 😊

I used the 2000 one on a flat battery in Hyundai i30 with success. Just remember to connect, press boost and wait about 30-60 sec before cranking the engine. First I tried to start the engine immediately without waiting for the boost to juice up the flat battery and it didn’t turn at all. The 2000 holds charge for long months, sitting at around 25-35C in summer under the boot carpet next to the spare tire.

Thanks OP I'm going to order a second 2000A to use as a powerpack whilst camping.
I actually just used mine this morning to start my 3.0l diesel Hilux without a hitch, it was pretty dead as it's my 2nd car and doesn't get much use over summer.
Last time I used it was about a year ago to start my 3.2l diesel BT50 which worked just as good.

If you plan on using 12v while camping be sure to buy the correct adapter. This pack doesn't include one.

      • Cheers I saw your other post and was wondering which adapter you use?
My needs are currently simple and chargeable via the USB port - phone, 18650 cells and headlamp. I have an older SCA jump pack which has been doing this OK for a while but getting on so will releagte one Gooloo to charging duties and keep the 2nd for emergencies.

I actually ended up with a similar model Rooboost 2000A and it came with the adapter already… I just noticed that most adapters on amazon slot into the jumpstart slot.. which doesn't seem right. Not sure how big the DC barrel is on this unit but Amazon are usually quite good with returns if it doesn't fit.

  • Nice USB c
