Got VPN unlimited on their lifetime plan bargain. One thing to realise is that their "slot" system takes a bit of getting use to.
They state "Up to 10 devices (or more)" which isn't strictly true. If you use a browser based VPN and also a "system" VPN on the same device then this actually counts as 2 slots. You can only delete a device slot every 7 days.
So while I have say 3 devices ( 2 x Chromebook and a Mobile) I'm actually using 2 per chrome book (browser and Android app) and 1 for the phone so 5 slots over 3 devices.
Or if you want 2 different geographical VPN's setup on your router, this is 2 slots.
Bit different to other providers where can load a whole list of servers on your router and swap between location and it only counts as 1 device.
You get use to it but you should be aware of.
That being said, very happy with the service
And yes I wouldn't trust an "unknown and free" provider.

In the image that oz bargain scraped for the deal it says “premium poxy”…
🤔
It's the image they are using on the Play Store for their app!

No way would I be using this .

I am using Amazon's AWS OpenVPN (Free Tier) only takes couple of minutes to build from their AWS Marketplace.
I have created 3x servers in 3x different regions (USA, UK IND), I usually keep those powered off, only power On when want to use it. I use AWS console app on my mobile to manage and operate servers.
It says 'Poxy' and the reviews look suss as

Does anyone have any recommendation for free/limited VPN (eg: throttled or with limited bandwidth etc) that has Malaysian IP/location?
Just need it (every now and then) to access some Malaysian-only webpages but don't need a whole lot of bandwidth each time.
Cheers!

Stick to well known brands if is for security reasons. Proton have unlimited VPN for all users with limited locations, but it's popular and audited. I have read that sometimes works with Netflix. In other hand Windscribe have this referral program where you get 1 gb for everyone who sign in + if the user upgrade to paid you get the same. Let's not forget VPN unlimited with their 6 month free trial, they have wireguard and it's very fast.
