If you're looking at the new Sony 35mm, you probably already know what it is, but if not;

Sony has a basic FE 35mm f/1.8, a compact FE 35mm f/2.8, the Zeiss 35mm f/1.4. The new 35mm GM is a great option for those who want a sharp and excellent performing lens at f/1.4 without the weight of the Zeiss. It's a weather sealed lens, and weighs 524g. Utilizing 67mm filters, it's (relatively) compact.

  Great lens! I would probably wait till Sony has cash back program and ebay sales with digidirect. That would make this lens at a somewhat decent price.

  I’ve got the Sigma 35mm F1.2 which is amazing. The DOF dreaminess with my FF FX9 is insane, but I’m tempted to trade for the Sony GM as the Sigma is a bit “hunty” in video AF.
