This comes down to $482.99 with the coupon 'LOVEKEANU'

Excellent monitor but would be cautious of delivery time frames after the previous S2721DGF deals

    • mine is arriving this Friday and many people already received

      • Yeah saw that warning on the last post… it came 4 weeks early. Not saying it didn't happen for people on the black Friday post, but the shipping was fast for me.

        • The estimated times were all over the place for the BF deal. Most got theirs within a few days after the OPs ETA but the dates given by Dell/eBay were not accurate at all.
If in stock, Dell delivery is very fast, normally only 1-2days on the east coast.

      • I ordered last Thursday with an ETA of early March, but it got shipped yesterday so I reckon it's not far…

    • +4

There is a reason why there is DGF in its name.

    • On the last deal which was a fortnight ago iirc I ordered on Tuesday received on Thursday which was shocking since the estimated delivery was like end of Feb according to Dell haha. Great monitor for my xbox series s, really enjoying it. :)

  • +1

I love this monitor so much, delivery was expected around this week but came a month ago in early January so take with a grain of salt

    • Mine was sent this morning.

  • +3

    WOW this is cheap.
I have this monitor and love love love it.

    • +1

Isn’t this a lot more money for a marginally better monitor from the other days gigabyte deal?

      • +5

Everything on the higher end is paying quite a bit more for marginal improvements. The last 5 mile problem.

Having a much better monitor stand, better viewing angles and stuff like that is going to cost you quite a bit of extra money to find after market solutions. The g27 is a fantastic deal though, especially if you already have a very ergonomical set up ready.

  • Damn if this was rated at least HDR600 instead of 400 then I would be all over this like a bad rash. Maybe in next year's model?

    • +2

Yeah the HDR on this model is pretty much unusable….

    • +4

Very few high refresh rate monitors have HDR worth using, the new 30-something inch LG OLED panel that's coming this year would be your best bet.

      • +1

        That's only 60Hz.

        Patiently awaiting a 43" OLED

        • Ah RIP

        • There's always the LG CX 48

          • @Agret: Yup, I'm awaiting the 48 C1. Should be cheaper and more readily available this year

        • what about burn in ?

          • @hotukdeals: Yeah you have to manage it. Hide desktop icons, taksbars, have a screen saver etc

            • @giventofly: That would worry me too much. I was planning on getting one this year, new lg's due out I believe 40inch, but burn in risk put me off. I don't want to hide my taskbar etc.

      • +4

and it will be priced in the thousands because it's a professional monitor.

It competes with the $6000 apple monitor that doesn't include the $1000 stand. In other words, out of your league.

      • The 32EP950 will be 60Hz, no variable refresh rate

  • I received mine last week, does anyone know if I can price match it so they can refund me, paid $50 more.

    • +5

Do you try to refund what you paid for fuel last week?

      • +4

Yes, if they have a price guarantee.

      • How Dell’s 30-Day Price Guarantee works
We want you to enjoy your new Dell tech , not worry about the price. So if you see on Dell.com.au a lower price on your product purchase within 30 days of your invoice date, Dell will refund the difference. Less stress, more satisfaction, guaranteed.

If you don't want the $50 you are guranteed then that's your choice

    • +2

How did you pay? Some CC's have price guarantee.

    • +2

I did the same yesterday. Have a chat to their online support. They may be able to help. That's what I'm trying.

    • +1

yes you can. You have 30 days of price protection if it is found cheaper on dell au.

      https://www.dell.com/en-au/cp/price-match-guarantee-anz

    • Their price match guarantee do not include using of coupon. So, I guess you cannot ask for a refund

  • Would love a 2160 100HZ IPS monitor, any suggestions?

  • Literally ordered this yesterday for $520. Any chance they will refund the difference?

    • Could always cancel and re-order.

      • it's been shipped already, I'm extremely surprised

        • Wow that is fast.

          • @RichardL: Yeah, wasn't expecting it until next week (at least that was the ETA). Comments on here were saying anywhere between 2 and 6 weeks

            • @Clackers: Ye my order took about a month to arrive (after I had to re-order).

            • @Clackers: People were frustrated by the shipping times from the Black Friday deals. Dell have recently been shipping much quicker.

              • +1

@awaiko: well they probably have the stock here now before they advertised the sale, rather than advertising the sale before they had the goods like they did last time.. and then the goods were delayed by covid related shipping delays etc.

I bought one during the Black Friday sale and love it.

    • Yes you can. Contact dell.

  • +2

Id rather get this one for under $400 as was posted the other day

    https://www.centrecom.com.au/gigabyte-g27q-27-qhd-144hz-1ms-…

    • -1

Yeah lol this is a marginally better monitor (a little more P3 coverage and a bit more bright) is it really worth the $100+ difference?

    • +7

the Dell one for sure, 165hz, DISPLAY port 1.4, better build quailty, superior adjustability, design and more…

      • i don't think any of that matters or can be seen, dp 1.2 is enough for 1440p, 1.4 is only for 4 k which this isn't
165 vs 144 hz - again you wont notice

        rest is argumentative at best

easiest $100 + you will ever save

        • +7

The response times on the Dell are literally half if you compare the Rtings review, it's a large improvement and well worth the extra $100

          • -6

            @cille745: ah lol…ok
you get a pro gamer to play on either and there wont be difference - let alone a casual gamer
this stuff is not measurable difference .00003 of a sec - playin over internet anyway….come on

            • @botchie: if you're gonna use that argument then why not save a few more clams and go for a viewsonic instead?

              https://www.centrecom.com.au/viewsonic-vx2705-2kp-mhd-27-1ms…

              • -1

@krisspy: if I was looking for a 144hz ips panel i would - ppl downvoting and not agreeing are ones dumb enough to pay extra $100 for something they think its tangible difference
I had 144hz tn panel, 165 hz ips and now i have 240 hz va panel and in terms or "response" time they are all the same
this is something that does not give any real life edge or advantage in gaming and anyone who argues that has no clue

          • @cille745: The input times are better on the Gigabyte monitor? Inputs scored 9.0 on both monitors with an input lag of 3.7ms on native resolution?

            https://www.rtings.com/monitor/tools/compare/gigabyte-g27q-v…

            • @18: I said response times, not input lag, two completely different things

      • +2

The USB hub and superior stand is well worth the $100 difference imo

        • +2

The G27Q also has a USB 3.0 hub (albeit 2x ports, not 4x) for what it's worth.

      • +2

Much better contrast and brightness on the G27Q though. They trade blows overall IMO.

        • +2

agreed. personally, i value the contrast much more than the build quality and adjustment and such as long as the display has a vesa mount… and it does.

      • +4

Comparing wrong monitors mate. The g27QC is VA whilst the one he is talking about is the g27Q which is IPS.

        • Good spot, thanks, cant edit sorry or i would

    • +1

here is a pretty detailed comparison on the two, https://www.rtings.com/monitor/tools/compare/gigabyte-g27q-v…

I guess it depends on what you use it for but id probably prefer the dell, better response times, higher refresh rates, slightly slimmer bezel, much better stand, internal power brick.

The gigabyte is great for the price though and does beat the Dell in some categories.

  • +4

Ordered one during the BF deal that came a few weeks ago. Love the monitor, however, I have had issues with light bleeding and glow on the left hand side, particularly on the top left corner. Noticed that the screen was bent slightly outwards from the bezel on the left top corner and side with a slight mm warp in the bezel's plastic, which was probably causing the light uniformity issues on that side. I'm probably more fussy than a lot of people though when it comes these things.

No problem though. Got a replacement coming tomorrow probably from the same batch as this deal. Phenomenal monitor though.

    • +2

What evidence did you need to show them for the replacement? Thanks

      • +1

Just took a few photos using the diagnostics mode on the monitor and they told me that the bleeding was expected and that it's only worth getting a refund rather than a replacement. However, when I told them about the slight bend they told me that they would send a replacement.

They'll take you through what to do for the photos if you contact them.

    • +1

If you hold the panel and case together it will probably fix a lot of the light bleed, it's always been a bit of a issue with Dell monitors in my experience.

      • Yeah, that's exactly how I figured it was the unevenness that was causing the light bleed. Once I gently pinched the panel and case together, it disappeared. That's unfortunate… Hopefully this replacement is better rather than worse then. If not, I'll just return the replacement and keep the original.

        • +1

I saw a post somewhere with a guy opened the monitor and tightened a few screws. Problem solved. Looked simple enough but I didn't want to jeopardize the 3 year warranty.

          • @reactor-au: Yeah, exactly. Crazy that they couldn't just make sure it was tightened themselves. The QC seems to be pretty hit and miss with Dell.

    • good luck getting the correct replacement though, they sent me the wrong replacement and refuse to admit it.

  • Should I buy now and think about getting a new desk later?? (existing one has a hutch that only fits 24")

    • +1

      Buy now think later

    • +1

      Always buy now

    • LOL. What are you going to set it on? The floor?

  • Should I go with this or go with a 34 inch ultrawide in a similar price range?

    • Same question here. Due to not play game a lot, would prefer ultrawide to have lots of space for work.

    • I went for the Dell S3221QS as it was in similar price range but bigger screen, and not gaming much on this

      • +1

Would be nice if that was 144hz rather than 60hz. 60hz is a bit of a put off

        • its also VA panel tech

    • -5

Anything less than Ultrasharp is straight trash from Dell. There's a reason these monitor's are ALWAYS on special.

      • -1

Heres the warenty fineprint for the gigabyte monitor. same as dell with the bright pixel and stuff if thats what you are worried about
        https://member.aorus.com/global/productwarranty

      • -1

@KLoNe you are not wrong :''')

regardles, the support is still the same,… they arent great (to say the very least )

    • +6

      its abs garbage

Got anything constructive to say about the monitor? Hundreds (if not thousands) of OzBargainers have it and enjoy it, myself included.

      • -1

That's your opinion, I'm here giving mine. I brought 2 and both were dud. And they did shit all to try and fix my problem.

        • +2

Dud as in dead on arrival or some other issue?

        • Clear to explain your explanation of your original statement?

          • -2

@Hellcrusher3304: i wrote it on legit every post on this monitor….just have a look. but in short. bright spot on 1 of them, colour was 100% inacrruate. pending yellow on one of the monitor. etc etc. and support toke forever to communicate and there were loads of miscommunication on their behalf

    • +3

My previous monitor is a Dell U2715H which had a bit of backlight bleed near one corner but otherwise great. This monitor is even better (near no backlight bleed at all) since I only do gaming and development work.

    • I love mine - what do you find wrong with it?

    • and this, ladies and gentlemen,
is why the phrase "haters gonna hate" exists.
