Amazon lists these watches as having Swiss movements but the photo show Japan Movt on the dials. Confused.

  • I wonder if/when the Invicta Pro Diver 31920 (aka "1953") will ever be back in stock…

  • +1

I wonder what percentage of owners actually dive with them.

This is a good comparison between the two sizes..

  • is the watch band on this easy to swap out? thinking it might look good on a fabric strap. either perlon or braided strap

    • +2

Easy to do, I used to wear one of these, first thing I did was remove the cyclops, the next was to NATO it up

      • How do you remove the cyclops?

        • +1

There are about 500,000 guides on how to do this on YouTube.

          • +2

@xyron: There's also a link in the description.

            • @WatchNerd: awesome thx!

            • @WatchNerd: So the cyclops came right off but the heat has cracked the glass. just a little annoyed with myself now. is there a you tube video on how to replace glass?

    • what colour fabric would work with a thick, silver/black watch ?

    • +1

Band is easy to remove but you'll want to use a springbar tool. I wear mine on 20mm NATOs occasionally, looks good but these are pretty thick watches and the extra NATO strap just makes them even thicker.

In my cart, the Grand Diver is sold by Amazon USA but "Not eligible for Amazon Prime".

  • +2

A quick check confirmed deal-pricing as being correct for me, and WITH Prime eligibility. Strange … but then I had a similar experience yesterday with another Amazon US-sold item via Amazon AU …

    N. B. Price is for description of: Invicta Men’s 3044 Stainless Steel Grand Diver Watch

  • have the black already, think i will wait for deal on the blue dial ….. keeps great time and i have dived with it, no leaks.
actually keeps better time than my orient mako, might be the luck of the draw.

  • Have one of these. Lovely watch except for the logo on the side..

  • Thanks OP, found and bought the '26970 Invicta' for $88.48 - Not the cheapest it's been but still a decent price.

That's a quartz model which isn't as good a deal as the ones with the Seiko auto movement.

It has a quartz PC32 movement that cost around $10.00 and the Invicta website says it has a push down crown.

Were you looking for the Invicta 8926OB Auto?

      • +1

Yeah that's the one I was looking for haha thanks for clearing that up!

      • yeah, the push down crown and WR200 on quartz has always had me wondering why they didn’t make it screw down like the auto , push down and WR200 ?

but the idea of a quartz version isn’t unappealing , just pick up and ready to go and accurate.

        • my quartz arrived, it's a screw down crown, not push down.

  • +1

I've got a couple of these, can't complain about them for the price. Just a note that the scallop bezel models are very difficult to grip and turn.

    • scalloped bezel does less damage to shirt cuffs, it’s why omega seamaster is scalloped ….. it’s a trade off between what is easy to grip …..coin edge vs longevity of expensive cotton shirts.

  • Grand Diver not showing free delivery with Prime for me. $10.86 delivery.

The Return of the WatchNerd. welcome back!

  • Is this a good price for the 8926OB? Reviews mention this one is normally cheaper than the 8926?

  • Ahh the ol' Invicta. Still a workhorse to this day

  • ive got the titanium version of this with the nh35a.
im a bit of a sucker for any watch that has the nh35 movement.

i also have 4 technomarine watches which are also made by invicta.

regardless of what people think of invicta at the end of the day these are well built with a good auto movement so well worth the price

  • Shout out to WatchNerd - fellow watch lover here haha the NH35 is a solid movement.
    Thanks for sharing.

  • Just added the 8926OB to the post as it dropped in price. This one has a coin edge bezel.

  • Does the title of this post need to change? I'm not seeing free delivery for the Grand Diver with Prime. Anyone else confirm this?

  • Has the price of the 8926OB gone back up?

  • All back up

  • Well, I ordered the quartz version in blue, wanted pick up n go watch and have autos already, the crown is actually screw down, not push in, must be why they rate WR200, somebody somewhere got the crown wrong in their doco, my quartz is a screw down crown……. make sense, why make 2 different cases, one case, screw down crown.

Invicta 8926OB Pro-Diver deal is back, this time by Amazon AU. Maybe a better deal in terms of postage time/cost and warranty/ACL.
