Not the PST version unfortunately, but still okay price if you don't need PST. Personally, I'm waiting for the PST value packs to come back in stock and be a reasonable price. In stock 9 March 2021.

I don't personally own any arctic p12 or p14 fans, but I've heard they are quite good value for the price. I believe there is a particular noise at certain RPMs where the fan seems to resonate (?). I'd suggest watching a few videos about the fans, including ones that don't praise them. I know there are some reviews that speak very highly of them.

  • Is this suitable to connect to some kind of temp switch where it only activated once it reaches say 30c and stays running until it drops below 30c?

    • Sure but it's probably more expensive to buy a PWM fan for that.

    • if you have a fan hub, it will come with a PWM connector that connects to m/b header, and all non-PWM fans connected to the fan hub will have PWM control.

  • How long is the lifespan?

    Misleading username.

I've been exposed. I have heard good things about these fans though and wanted to get some for a matte black build.

I like noctuas for the aesthetic (and quality) though. Who needs RGB when you can have beige and brown?

  • My old fractal design case has a noisy fan.. is this a good replacement for it?

    • +1

      There'd be a few variables….

But 12cm, correct headers would be important.

      • Yeah need to go open it up and check.. pretty sure it's 120mm but I'll check the connector

    • +1

if it supports 120mm, it probably also supports 140mm which will always be quieter at the same CFM because it can run at lower RPMs and still achieve the same CFM.

If it doesn't support 140mm, you can buy 140mm fans that fit in 120mm mounts.

  • PST value packs are like 2x what they should be unfortunately.

  • I've got a bunch of these. PST variants only needed if you're daisy-chaining a bunch of them
Performance seems good but from what I've heard they dont last as long as Noctuas. Priced accordingly I suppose.

  • Would this be good for a ryzen5 3600+rtx3070?

    • Those components are irrelevant. It's the case you'd need to talk about

        Soz I'm a noob,
        LANCE-V RGB ATX CASE,

        • These are great quality fans with performance/noise comparable to Noctuas albeit with a lot less life time I'd imagine?

          • @dsiritz: A lot less as in 2year Lifespan?

        • All good, tech fast?

How many fans has it got?

          • @scuderiarmani: Yeah, it has 3

            • @mrtee: If it's 3 intake, 1 exhaust should be fine, unsure if it's a 120mm spot on the rear.

In reality most cases are happy with 2 in 1 out, any more has very negligible difference.

Unless they are a different design like the Lian Li 011 I and many people have.

              • @scuderiarmani: Apparently the one on the back is not a 120mm, someone suggested to upgrade to the 120mm, but I didn't.

                • @mrtee: If it can fit a 120mm, no harm at all.

If there's a small one, it'll be the noise that'll be the biggest difference switching

                  • @scuderiarmani: You think one is sufficient? And are they easy to install? Referring to this one?

                    • @mrtee: I presume it already has 3 at the front? If so 1 rear is all it really needs.

Adding another up top if you have the ability will likely make a negligible difference in temps.

Generally just 4 screws and running a cable. Very easy.

                      • @scuderiarmani: Would the cable come with it? Or should I order some cables too? Or are the cables supplied with the psu

                        • @mrtee: It has its own fan cable, it should directly connect to your Motherboard.

                          Wont need anything else.

Your Motherboard HOPEFULLY will have a fan header right near it. May pay to check.

                          • @scuderiarmani: I'll be getting a B550 not sure which brand, probably something base level too

  • "$11.69 + Shipping ($0 with Prime & $49 Order)" - Prime is free international shipping only on orders above $49.

    • So essentially I need to spend $49 to get free shipping?

      • Yes since you are ordering from Amazon US.

      • normally people buy more than 1 fan for a case. Although you will need 5 to meet $49. I normally get 4.

  • These fans are very weak - you can break them very easily if youre clumsy like me - so handle with care. Good air flow, unbeatable for the price.

  • Hey guys, I found this on scorptec, is there much of a difference compare to this Amazon one?
Link below for scorptec 4x 12cm fans. https://www.scorptec.com.au/product/cooling/120mm-fans/76586…

    • Compare the specifications. Those fans aren't PWM, 1200 RPM, and move air at a rating of 44.73 CFM.

These fans are PWM, 1800 RPM, and move air at a rating of 56.3 CFM. These are just the basic numbers - upon closer inspection you'll see that these fans generate a lot less noise with more static pressure as well.

In conclusion: Buy these if you're tight. Otherwise buy Noctuas.

      • I was only looking at these because the Amazon link requires a min spend of $49. I don't mind spending up to $30 for a good exhauste fan
