Well X570 is for AMD CPUs, but the CPU is listed as an Intel cpu, so that's an issue right off the bat

    • +2

Maybe if you add more toothpaste it would fit?

  • Rldowling does that mean the pc won't work

    • +5

It means the CPU physically doesn't fit into this motherboard. It won't go in, let alone work.

    • His told you the wrong part for the CPU or motherboard.

  • +6

I would walk away. Such a fundamental error makes you wonder what else is made up.

  • Ok i just message him about the motherboard board n it indeed was a mistake it was meant to be the z490 thanks i would of never known

If i was you, i would study how computers are put together for at least a week, watch youtube videos and read online forums. By the end of the week you should have a good idea of how parts are put together, and if youre confident enough, you can buy the parts yourself and put it together yourself.

I would do this. It's so much easier these days. If you can put together IKEA furniture you can build your own computer. I built a computer a few months ago and only received a small leaflet of instructions with the motherboard. Even 5 years ago you would have received a full manual with more complicated instructions.

There are a few tricky things that you may have to troubleshoot along the way, but if you think you'll be able to research your way out of a dead end then it can be a fun experience.

Don't take this too personally OP but you really need to work on your spelling and grammar, perhaps taking 5 minutes to proofread your typing before hitting the post button. Honestly, I'd begin to think that even you're the scammer by putting together a believable specs list to go list a fake ad on Facebook Marketplace.

Regardless, I advise you to buy something new with a warranty from sellers such as Techfast. They list frequently on this website.

A new, better computer (with warranty) for a few hundred extra.

The price is in the ballpark for what you'd pay for that computer, new. The problem with buying a second hand PC at near new prices is you're taking the risk without the significant discount to offset that risk.

the guy says im getting it for cheap

My opinion, not really cheap enough. A year ago the second hand market was nuts. I don't know if it's still going strong, but I think it makes little sense to buy second hand machines for that price. Before Covid, I was picking up desktops and laptops for less than 10 cents on the dollar. They were never gaming machines, but there are deals to be had if you want second hand… otherwise, buy new and avoid the potential issues you can have with other peoples hand-me-downs.

Is this better than dell xps 8940 with rtx 3070

    • +1

Really depends on your budget and what you're going to use it for.

Did a quick search so I'm assuming the XPS is $2.5k

      In terms of value:

I think the 2070S is fairly priced considering the market - hoping there's proof of purchase etc for warranty. However, I don't think the XPS is worth it, definitely over-priced. See below for better deals w/ RTX3070.

For the same price, the Dell XPS 8940 with RTX 3070 has better specs, only spec that PC has over the dell is 3200mhz CL16 vs 2933mhz, which is barely anything.

The Dell has a way better GPU, 10700K (KF has no iGPU) and more storage space.

In terms of extras, that's up to you, but the PC really takes the lead. The fancy RAM, $250 case, $300 AIO liquid cooler and fancy motherboard only matter if you think RGBs would improve your life, or if you'd just prefer a boring grey box.

Boring grey box with better FPS = Dell, rainbow puke with better upgradeability = that PC.

    • Jola if i sold the 10700kf and the rtx 2070 super n put a 10700k n rtx 3070 do u think it would be worth it

      • Looks like you doesn’t know much about pc, just go for dell, otherwise you might have a hard time when your pc has problem.

      • 10700kf = 10700k, if you are using a GTX card as you aren't using the iGPU anyway
        I won't change RTX2070S -> RTX3070 either in current market

is there any perticular reason for this upgrade ?

    • Bazinga mainly just to have the latest tech

    definitely not 1900

    • i just sold a similar rig to this with a 7700 cpu but similar everything else for $850 on Facebook Marketplace. the issue is the market is flooded with custom built pc's and people selling "gaming PC's" online. i think personally $1600 would be a good asking price for the above. i also wasn't too worried about recouping losses and was more clearing tech

    • What size NVMe?

$1900 seems reasonable. Sure, you could get a better deal spec wise but the parts in this are quite high end.
