Damn, bought one this morning from Target for $139/$89, thinking it was a good deal. Intended to take it back after seeing this post. Burnt rubber to get to HN at 6pm after seeing the original deal, walked past the flyers on the door and the price tag on the display with the $138/88 deal, picked up a unit and took it to the salesman and asked him to scan it to see what it currently was. He looked at the tag and punched a few keys on the computer, then I get "the best I can do it for is $269…" I gave him the "are you serious" look, then proceeded to tell him about his price tags and this deal. He couldn't find the deal on his system or the HN website, said it must have come from the HarveyNormanDirect online website. I asked him to check it on the internet and showed him the OzBargain deal which linked to the actual store, (couldn't see the deal page any more). Get this; Harvey Norman's IT department has blocked them from viewing the HarveyNormanDirect website! Eventually found another way to view HND, no hardware listed, just software. I came home and the HN page was still up on my screen, confirming a link to the actual store. I refreshed the OzBargain deal and saw it was expired, clicked the link and the HN link was gone :( So disappointed, would have been an awesome deal otherwise. It was obviously a typo: $93.50 should have been the after-cashback price, being $88 + $5.50 that they would have charged for delivery from the store.

  • is kinect worth buying?

It looks like most of the games pretty casual and short..

unlike the ps3 move / wii, where there is better games..

these look like mainly dancing games etc..

I think this might be more useful for pc hacks??? ie minority report etc..

saw this deal and went into HN straight away. After abit of "no really I swear I saw it for $93.50!!!! x 8000 times) - at the very end got it for $93.50, just finished playing with it! awesome!

  • Picked mine up today.

  • What do you state in the "Kinect Sensor Purchase Location:" if you purchased the Kinect on a website. I purchased mine through JB HiFi but not sure what to put there?

I emailed them and complaint about the price i saw was $93.50 when i added them to the cart. And $138 was only came up after I submitted my cc details.

They said no the price has always been $138. So I need a receipt to prove them wrong.

Anyone got a receipt or screenshot would be nice

    • I have a screenshot - send me your email addy

  • Guys just posted the receipts from HN and Target here for $93.50!

  • My local jb hifi (Warringah Mall, NSW) had the sensor bar for $125 pre-cashback (making it $75). Was the version which comes with 1 game and 2 DLC games. Sorry no photo, they had a pile of them in the middle of the store.

  • so have they honoured the price for those that bought straight away??
