Just got an email for the usual extra 5% off at JB this weekend. A comment by TripleJJJ below reminded me to mention these can be stacked with discounted gift cards when paying, for even more savings.

        Nope, only once a year in June. It's not always the best sale either as they revert most of their titles to almost RRP.
        Sometimes the 30% off sales bundled with a 2 for $30/$40/$50 and 5% discount work out much better value.

      Technically, the T&Cs don't exclude it. The trick is to ask the sales person to issue you with an invoice, then line up behind a bunch of other plebs at the register and wait to be served by one of the checkout operators who isn't the same person. They rarely ask questions. For extra savings, use a discounted gift card for payment as well. (Hmmm…that reminds me, I should update the OP with that suggestion.)
