      Yeah. This is a must.

Agreed frost free is so much more convenient but double the price. For those who just want to freeze food during lockdowns or don’t mind manually defrosting then you can’t pass this unit for $299.

This, plus not a fan of the concept of an upright freezer. The moment you open the door, all the cold air is dense and falls out. A chest freezer is the go. All cold air stays in. I really don't understand why all our fridges and freezers arent becoming chest types (planet/ energy saving etc). Think all the open freezers at the supermarket. Look in from the top, grab what you want, nothing lost.

If you are getting a frost free, look at how it is done as well. The lazy way is with a resistive heating element in the sides and door (yes, a heater in your freezer). Very inefficient.

The better ones are when they reverse the compressor direction. Basically a heat pump vs heating element.

      • Most uprights have bucket style shelves with face plates for this reason. It doesn't all go

By setting the price to $999 for a short period of time every now and then it is just their way to skirt their ACL obligations and mislead the consumer thinking they are getting a bigger discount then in reality.

Agree with the Frost Free comments, BUT, purchased one of these recently, and the matching Fridge (limited space in the garage) and I have to admit, they have both exceeded my expectations…
    - Ordered with the extra warranty (must with any Kogan branded product) (BTW - Warranty voided if installed in Garage)
    - Paid an additional delivery charge that had the delivery guys unpack, plugin and take away all the rubbish.

Warning: The screw-in feet are rubbish and slip everywhere due to no grip - I purchased replacements at Bunnings.

    • How often do u defrost?

      • Only got them 4 weeks ago, so haven't yet.

        This is them - https://ibb.co/wdn9jTX

        • Do you know if all the shelves and drawers come out fully and if so, you wouldn't be able to measure the internal dimensions when you get the chance? I'm thinking if I could turn this into a fermentation chamber for the home brew.

          • @TghtArs: They do, but each shelf sits on the actual freezer coil - https://ibb.co/9bL0Svh

            Internal Dimensions
            37cm x 37cm x 120cm

            32cm between each coil
