  • Is this any good for fps?

    • It sure is. I play a heck ton of good old CSGO and CW and it does the job just fine.

    • As a FPS'er, know what caps you want, most mech keyboards are noisy. Personally 60/75 leaves more space for a big mouse mat.

  • Any TKL?

    • Nah only full size keyboards.

  • Love the media control and especially the volume rocker on my older model. Running TKL now though.

  • Does this feel premium?

Good build, I would recommend at this price

How does this compare to say the Razor BlackWidow Elite @ ~$140?

    • Blackwidow Elite is better.

      • Care to elaborate as to why that is? Any info you have would be appreciated.

        • +1

          I've gone through quite a lot of KB's lately…
G910 Orion had for years finally died… key presses started sticking so as i typed, it woulllllllld coooooooome out liiiiiiiike thisssss randomly.

Corsair K70 lux cherry reds, too mushy for typing, hated it but wanted it for the volume rocker so put it aside. Wrist rest is also too small to be useable.

Razer Blackwidow Elite Orange keys, loved typing on it, wrist rest was soft and heavenly… until what every other review said, volume knob stopped working properly… some poured some solution in to get it working again, I returned it to Amazon (still pending returns process after almost a month). RGB and Razer sw sucks.

Keychron K4 Blues, click-clacks damn loud, but love typing on it… can be fatiguing for gaming and annoying for everyone else asleep, the backspace on mine is creaky and the numpad is cramped for work so it's not great for efficiency. RGB and the small size is great for a tidy cable free desk but no wrist rest and sits rather high so doesn't feel the best for hours of typing. I used the BW wrist rest on it as a solution till i had to return it.

So now, back to researching stuff with a volume rocker…on my list is:
          Apex Steelseries 5/7 and above
Roccat Vulcan AIMO white but too many dud reviews on paintjob wearing off too quick.
          DAS keyboard
          HyperX Alloy

          What else should i consider…

  • Current Gaming keyboard is starting to play up so thanks OP for this. Although my colleagues complain about my blue switches over Teams/Zoom all the time with the clickiness.. Not sure if I should have gone the Browns or Reds instead. lol.

    • +1

unless you're zooming all day, they'll just have to put up with it. in the office though, reds all the way. but i've worked with some really selfish, noisy a-holes so blue switches for them

Should add a mini speaker that makes a Click sound when you press a key ;)

        • lol yessssss no dampening foam, no o-rings and an amp to make every clack count

  • Been using this keyboard for over a year now, though I have MX red's. Only gripe is the caps lock LED is hidden by the - key on the number pad.

Oh and I grabbed a set of the HyperX Double Shot PBT Translucent Pudding White Keycaps when Mwave had them for $20.

  • Any low profile recommendations? I have been eyeing the Havit TKL low profile one for a while now :s

  • Would buy if it was in browns. Seems like the reason why its on special is that its old stock as theres an Elite 2 now

    • Same, i'd prob jump on it if it were browns

      • which colour gives silent key presses?

        • Red and brown are near identical sound wise.

  • what's the wheel do? Can all of the buttons be reprogrammed?

    • +1

      volume wheel

  • How's tis compared to the Logitech G512 Carbon which is $151,20 at BigW at the moment?
