    Great price thanks hamza

Old model. Older Logitech suffer from double click issues fairly often. Had a g900/g903 and a g502 wireless have double click issues. I don't buy expensive mice anymore.. I got a couple g305s instead when they were like 30 each. So far on the first one still over a year+ later.

I reckon the Rapoo wireless 4K on Amazon for sale sub 40 bucks is a better buy unless you really want wired.

I've never had an issue with Logitech mice but have suffered the double click problem on multiple Razer models

    • +2

I've had 2 Logitech (g502) both had double click issues after a year. It was really upsetting.

On the amazon description it says 'Special feature Wireless'? :S

      • confirmed also have double click issue here g502x.

Also the scroll wheel suck balls on the 502s

      • Cut off the cable for wireless. #winning

      Rapoo VT9Pro4K?

      • +2

That's the one! Has a 20% off coupon atm. Of course check reviews/your preferences before considering it. Shape is important too. It'd be considered a more budget Logitech G Pro Superlight than a direct shape swap for the G502.

      • +2

VT9 pro is good enough, not the 4K one, 1000hz polling rate is enough

        • Thanks for the recommendation

        • Thanks for this note.

I actually ended up nabbing the 1k model myself too. Just for something different to my G305.

Think I'm good for a few years. Spare boxed 305. Used 305 with still two spare lithium batteries now the vt9 hehe

My G903 just started suffering form double click issues but its also about 5 years old

    • +6

I've been using the G502 mouse for about 8 years now. Not a single problem encountered. It even slides across the surface like almost new. At this price I'm even contemplating to get another one. Ozbargain disease…. I must resist…..

      • I had the problem of trying the G502x. At first it feels awkwardly light, but after a bit of use, the G502 hero is just way too heavy!

    • yes it does, but it also has a 2 year warranty so i guess buyers can decide if its worth it.
Always been happy to buy another or get an upgrade after a few years…

      • Ha yeah conveniently all my double clicks occur outside warranty! Ha

    • I’ve still got my G9x from 2009 never had a problem. It’s too good to replace

      • +1

Nice! I don't remember why I swapped my g9x.. What a cool mouse. I'm pretty sure something died on it.. Couldn't tell ya

        • My G903 was replaced under warranty within the first year due to double clicking issues.

Anyone that's getting the issue and is somewhat handy, you can buy better switches and solder them on. About an hour job all up

    • +2

Sensor tech and wireless connection stability has improved so much in the last few years that I don't see why anyone should buy this at this price now eventhough this was a good mouse a few years back.

I do like having alot of buttons. But then you'd find a G604 or similar.

I have the Logitech Superlite and a popular AliExpress alternative, they are both good IMO.

    • +1

yeah I remember when they were $30.

I brought a g502 that I haven't unboxed cause I'm stupid and wanted to have it in my collection but after that don't plan to spend more than $50 on a mouse if it's for gaming and less than $35 or something if it's just for general use.

imho the g502 x for $78 from umart which is $23 more than this deal with optical/mechanical switches where there should never be double click issues again is a better choice even thouhg it might cost a little more upfront it should last a lot longer since the double click issues are not an issue with g502 x model

    • For those looking at the G502 X, the clicks are much louder than they are on this G502 Hero.

I tried the G502 X and the clicking was loud, metallic and pingy and was just unpleasant to use. Personally I found that my old G502 lasted about 4-5 years before developing the double-click issue, which for a $60-$80 mouse at the time, is good with me.

Just buy one of those cheap lightweight mice off AliExpress. Best mouse I've owned and I've had many.

    • +2

Appreciate the down votes but I'm not kidding about the quality of build, accuracy, wifi connection and battery life of some of the AliExpress mice. I currently use the VXE R1 and it is minimal but perfect, felt much better than the DeathAdder and almost indistinguishable from my viper v3. The pro version supposedly tracks at double the dpi and is 48g, slightly lighter than the R1. But the mouse performs perfectly for general use, and I used to be a pretty competitive league player and it feels incredible in my opinion.

Wired mice are annoying in most settings, plus the consistent tracking and being a 50g mouse that cost me $30, there is nothing I have ever bought that comes close in terms of performance / price

Do with that information what you will. I know the VXE mice have consistent revisions and mice like the one posted here are old outdated stock. I have bought all kinds of peripherals over the years including the old MadCatz weighted mouse when it first came out. I am not having a jab at the OP I am just trying to help people be happier with their purchase

    • hard part is finding shape and size that feels comfortable to use all day, i do a lot of cad work so a badly shaped mouse is like shoes that don’t fit , and at least with logitech some jb stores have them on display to see how they feel. have a couple of the aliexpress mice, work fine and good res but getting right shape is a bit of a lottery, but then the rapoo of amazon is but like that, one arrived yesterday and its for small hands , another one in the mouse box.

  • +2

For me, using a wired+120g weight mouse in 2025 is unbearable. For the money you can get rapoo VT9 or Attackshark X3, which are significantly lighter and are wireless

    • Yeah, I have both the VT9Pro and a G502, no comparison, the VT9Pro is so much easier to use.

  • Waiting for the wireless g502 x plus to go on special.

I have a g300s and it developed the double click issue recently. Probably had it for only about two years. Drives me insane.

    • You could consider the VT3PRO MAX currently on sale ~50 bucks.

I've found that because I don't use my gaming mouse for work - the hyperscroll that used to keep me locked into Logitech, is less important and I just want a semi lightweight good wireless mouse. If anything my only Logitech loyalty remains with the MX Master series for productivity heh. I used to exclusively use Logitech but now.. Mmmmmeh!

      • Thanks for the suggestion but I need something with lots of programmable buttons and macos compatibility.

      • has the mx master for work, loved it but got stolen or i forgot when hot dealing, so $100 mice are great at home but need something cheaper for taking to the office, that still has good shape.

        • Logitech M720. Basically a cut back mx master. Should cover most of your use cases just for taking to the office.

Still has hyperscroll, thumb click, and actually has one advantage, has a storage spot for the usb receiver. Uses batteries tho vs recharge but lasts forever.

Alternatively save even more and grab the Rapoo MT550 (m720 clone)

Or their mx master clone - Rapoo MT750

  • Fantastic mouse, they last for years and feel great to use

    Wired in 2025?

    • My workplace does not allow any wireless or bluetooth devices, And the policy only began in 2025!

      • For what reason?

        • 'Eavesdropping'. (It's a Defence/Aerospace company).

      • Is the aircraft wired too?

  • shame so many of the Logitech line are not ambidextrous. gives me the shits

  • The wireless g305 isn't much more if you prefer wireless and don't need 100 - 25,600 DPI (it has 200 - 12,000) https://www.amazon.com.au/Logitech-Lightspeed-Wireless-Gamin…

    If you need this sensor there's Logitech G PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2, G50 2 X PLUS, G90 3 HERO, and G PRO Wireless but they're $100+

Edit: G703 is $99 at various retailers, it has the hero 25k sensor too https://www.staticice.com.au/cgi-bin/search.cgi?q=G703+HERO&…

  • I don't like how there is a matte coating on it that wears off from use.

  • Still have the original G500 mouse from 15 years ago. Have changed out the cable numerous times, and the buttons a few times too. Parts are easy to find on AliExpress. I've thought about a new G502, but it kind of feels like cheating.

    • +1

Wow. There's quite the reddit following for the old g500. I gave my brother mine which was a replacement for the original G5 itself and it worked for him another 5 odd years before having click issues and texture wear. Then he used my g700 wired mode no batteries til that had click issues. Finally got the g502x to swap in brand new.

I'd be curious the actual real life difference between tracking and response etc vs the old laser Logitech and the top line optical these days… Funny how we started ball > optical > laser > back tk optical ha.

  • Currently using this mouse. No complaints in about a year of use

  • if amazon are matching the umart price, does that mean jb will, price match so dont have to wait for stock ?

    • Umart has physical store fronts so I don't see why JB wouldn't price match.

    • Backorder is gone now FYI

  • g502 hero, a gaming staple, selling point has an extra couple of buttons but switches and sensor subpar in this bracket esp this older model

at this price point VXE Dragonfly R1 Pro is the best mouse on the market, it even destroys mice costing 3x-4x times more

even the base model R1 SE is outstanding value at $25 (the keyboard equivalent atm is the Akko MonsGeek FUN60 HE base model $50)

  • i loved my old g502. perfect for larger hands. the mouse wheel button stopped working after many many years, but other than that, perfect!. I couldn't afford o buy another one, so i am using a razer death adder essential for $25, which isn't quite big enough. now i read about the double click issue with the g502 and i'm not sure if i want to buy it.

  • $49 at Landmark Computers, but limited stock:
