Dual voltage so BYO AU figure 8 cable.

Last time this was posted it was $439 so this is within range of currency fluctuations I guess.

  • What would you use this for?

Who else read this as circuit maker?

    • +4

I definitely did, thought it’s a circuit board that we used to have during childhood! Didn’t realise I read wrong until I saw your comment!!!

My wife discovered Big W stock this as well so I've been asked to find where they are - no one I've asked (asking verbally and showing them the online item) has been able to tell me and a few of them have repeated it as Circuit Maker to me too. Let's not mention the person who sent me to the cricket section in the sports department…

  • Must be a real niche thing, skimmed through the listing and I’m still lost to what it actually is.

it's a well marketed plotter with a lot of attachments. Cuts/imprints vinyl, fabric, wood, draws on things with pens

One of my colleagues at work mentioned she was getting one of these a little while ago (was OTT excited about it and I had NFI what it was)…have since noticed 4 or 5 of my other friends have also recently got one. They seem to be gaining in popularity. I liken it to a 3D printer, some people see a lot of value in it and others wonder why the heck you'd need that on a daily/weekly basis. Would be very handy if you're in some sort of design/marketing role, arts/crafts, teachers, making signage, labels etc.

      • It's more like a 2D plotter rather than a 3D printer. You could argue the "pen/cutter up/down" commands comprise a third axis.

I'm not saying it does the same job as a 3D printer, more that it's appeal is like one. Some people find a lot of use for them and others don't.

  • This product is a teacher's wet dream.

Pretty sure this is how crimes start.

  • Looks great.
    I like it.
But I have no idea how to use it and if I need it in the first place.

      Make stickers
      Cut wood into things
      Make signs
      Make t-shirt signs
      Make make make….stuff.
The Mrs is crazy about it all.
All our gear has stickers and I’ve got a stack of shirts all crafted up

  • What's the difference between this version and the 2019 version?

    • I'd like to know this also…

    • -1

One was made in 2019 and one was made later.

  • Nice, it's a good price!

  • AMAZON: The rotary tool - $17.27 / knife housing $41.42

  • Here I was getting all excited thinking that was a home PCB printer.

  • thought it was a circuit maker

  • I wonder what of these Starter Kit items are actually required…
