Seems like a great price for this!

@harthagan: If you are so concerned maybe just buy 1 bag and try? It is not like a huge loss if you didn't get the points.
I thought most would have bought more than enough over the past week. I bought abt 20 bags on 4 occasions which should last us abt 2 years. Other than the first slot where I only bought 1 bag/account, flybuys has been paying me to "buy" the TPs.
Also my preschool kids have been enjoying building various TP castles/beds/thrones. They are able to build much larger structures than they could with foam bricks. So I would say it is a damn good deal.

            • +2

@truetypezk: Is that 20 in total or 80?

              • @Yola: probably 80….no wonder the stores are all cleaned out of them - I went to one and the shelf it was supposed to be on was all cleaned out….

          • @harthagan: didnt one person here says they did?

      • What state is this. My store in Vic had a big pallette but no sign at all

        • -1

Tasmania. If your concerned, ring Flybuys, they are easy to reach and discuss issues like this.

          • +1

@Coops1: Do they always give the correct information? I thought they said only 1 per account too …

            • @johnmelb: Damn straight. Their phone support members are just as clueless as those muppets who work the information desk at Coles.

              • -2

@DoctorCalculon: Why would you ring them ?

I know the discreet method of buying 1 is a little too challenging for some .

                • @popsiee:

I know the discreet method of buying 1 is a little too challenging for some .

It is not challenging - just downright stupid to do so (might as well hand in my OzB membership) when you do not know if the bonus points will be awarded the next day because there is no indication of an ongoing points promotion in my state other than a photo from Coops1 (who resides in TAS).

Why would you ring them ?

It will take me probably less than 5 minutes to call FB than a 30-min trip to my local Coles store.

PS: Yes, feel free to neg me. ;-)

                  • @DoctorCalculon: Yeah exactly. Given the massive popularity, I'm guessing if this promotion was still active nation wide there would be dozens of comments about it here, rather than just one obscure sighting in Tasmania. And still no one has confirmed actually receiving the points as yet lol.

                    • -5

@harthagan: Lol? Obscure? Appreciate your positiveness, thanks. @spy initially also sighted it in NSW (I presume), thus my response with an actual photo! I got all mine in the promotion timeframe in the catalog :), if your too tight to test anything yourself you can GAGF.

                      • @Coops1: Wow super sensitive much?
I wasn't criticizing your photo, just mentioning that one sign in a store at a coles in Tasmania is not proof of anything. It has been almost a week and still not a single person has been able to actually pipe up and say they received the points. This only reinforces my suspicion that the signage is likely to be in error, or at least, not applicable to any other stores

                        • @harthagan: Checked, not there anymore so its over, at least for the store I went to. I guess it must still be going over at tassie….

                    • -1

@harthagan: I got mine, got three before the supposed expiry date of 7th March. Had to use chrome based browser, firefox was being a pain with flybuys site….

I'll go back there tomorrow to see if the sign is still up there on the pallet where I got mine from….unless it's already cleaned out….

                      • +2

@Zachary: The expiry date was 2 March, when you made the purchase. harthagan was saying the deal was not extended beyond 2 March.

                        • @[Deactivated]: oh… Well I confirmed the extension is not in the store I had visited yesterday - looks like it's just tassie or coops' specific store….

                          • @Zachary: plot twist…my local (vic) had stock yesterday and the sign up displaying the promo!

                            • @franco cozzo: Did you examine the dates on that sign? It could be a case of a lazy staff member forgetting to take down the sign. BTW, these are not the yellow special price stickers.

                            • @franco cozzo: oh then I guess WA or my store at least no longer is doing the promo….

      • +2

I purchased my 2nd pack on Friday 5/3 and it looks like I did not receive the 2000 points this time around

        • Have you called FB support team?

          • @hawkeye93: Nope. Not yet anyway. Wouldn't they just say it's 1 bonus per account?

            • @Nanigugu: some people commented before confirming that it's not only 1, iirc.

              • -1

@hawkeye93: Yep I saw that. But I think those that checked with customer service said that they advised it was only 1 per account. It doesn't say it in the T & Cs though so I could try giving them a call tmr.

              • @hawkeye93: Definitely no limits. My flybuys account is proof of this.

        • +1

Same with me. The transaction only appeared in the app tonight. I got bonus points for the cat treats but not the toilet paper. There was no signage for the toilet paper (I'm in Vic).

        • +1

Thanks for confirming what I already suspected to be the case.

I'd take the absence of any mention in the new catalogues to mean that this was not intended to be more than a one week promotion, notwithstanding signage indicating otherwise at one particular store in Tasmania. Oh well

      • Yep have photos of the same.
Unfortunately the points didn't come through though.

    • +3

I walked past a completely re-stocked 32-pack So Soft TP rolls section at my local Coles store (which was out of stock the week before).
      Location: Melbourne Metro

No signage, and it seems like people aren't interested in buying them since 24-pack is the cheaper option.

  • +2

Can't find any during last 3 visits to Coles …

  • +2

Expired. Purchased in NSW on Friday, points came today but no bonus points from this deal.

I saw it the previous Friday, but forgot about the deal and didn't get it then :(

    • +1

Ring Flybuys and demand your points.

  • +1

Does anybody else get frustrated waiting for Flybuys to appear on their account? Takes days. They are SO slow……..Woolies is the far better system….no comparison.

  • +2

Expired. Purchased in S.A. on Friday, points came today but no bonus points from this deal.

    • +2

Ring flybuys and demand your points.

  • -2

plot twist…my local (vic) had stock yesterday and the sign up displaying the promo.
staff said the bonus was active and i will get the bonus points…we'll see how that goes!

    • +2

Definitely not active on the flybuys side even though the signage at my store still suggests so. Have raised this with flybuys.

      • yeah its been 24 hours+ and my flybuy account hasnt updated from my last shop..typical for flybuys
i imagine i'll be calling them about this promo when i dont get the points automatically. i even checked with 2x staff members and took photos of the display and signage (no expiry date) to make sure i wasnt wasting my time but the staff were insistent it was valid so i bought

        • +1

          valid or invalid?

          • @Zachary: valid.

flybuys has updated but points didnt get added (as expected) so calling them up i guess.
pretty poor marketing from coles / flybuys to have such poor communication

            • @franco cozzo: mmmhmmm….

              • +2

@Zachary: all good in the end…called cs & points are being credited within 10 days

                • +2

@franco cozzo: It has been extended to 16 March now.

                  • +1

@Neoika: the sign in my store had no dates listed at all…what a balls up
one has to ask why we arent being credited and have to spend 20 minutes to flybuys to claim the damn points??

                  • @Neoika: You are based in Sydney.

Has anyone sighted a similar sign at any Melbourne Metro Coles stores?

                    • @DoctorCalculon: yes. in vic. purchased on 9.3.21

                      • @franco cozzo: But you had to harangue the FB support team for those 2000 points, which should have been given automatically if the promotion was still active.
Yeah Nah! Way too stressful and risky at this point.

                        • @DoctorCalculon: yeh….pretty ridiculous promotion and barely worth it if you have to chase it up with flybuys.
points may take up to 10 days to receive as well…

                          • +1

@franco cozzo: The fun part of this promotion was that initially you use your own money to buy the packs (seed).

                            1. Wait for the points to be awarded onto your FB account the following day.
                            2. Convert to FB dollars and go shopping again.
                            3. Rinse and repeat.

If you can earn the 2x 3200 bonus points at the same time, that would cover the extra $3 cost for 10 packs. WIN!

  • Had the sign at Lakeland wa on 5/3 said expired on 16/3/21 bought 3 packs no points awarded.Had bought 1pack on 2/3 got points next day.Called flybuys they didn’t know of 2nd promotion and guy told me can take up to 7 days for points now 10 days no points. It’s a new promotion so should get points.I think they ordered so much now stuck with it had to get rid of it cause all the stores I checked it as 2 rows into the isle

  • +1

Sorry 8 days.Checked 2 other stores had to pull back packs to find promotion they still had old ones expired 2/3 that was 11/3.Pulled the Mandurah store one off and gave it to the manager told him this is expired.

  • +1

Saw in Port Melbourne Coles. Asked staff and they said I'll get the points. But from comments looks like I'll need to call flybuys.

I usually have to for the First Choice deals as well.

Poor behaviour from a large company.

    • +2

exactly what was said to me…flybuys seems to be the ones at fault here….
coles clearly have been told to keep the promo running in store

  • +1

Just called fb again and told me would refer to his support team to look into should get points in a week. But have to wait fo support teams answer first, still didn’t know about promotion, asked me if in catalog

  • its been 10 days since my call to flybuys CS and still no points and no call or email?
(profanity) me… will i have to call em again?? what a crap promo! (literally!)

    • +2

Just one time it was taking ages for them to credit my points after a phone request, and so I emailed them. It was then resolved quickly and I saved the 30 min phone wait.

    • +1

Why do they insist on these 10-day delays? You have already made the purchase, and therefore qualified for the promotion. It isn't like Coles will offer a change of mind refund.

Just give the damn points immediately, if proof of purchase has been provided.

This is a completely (profanity) customer experience, FlyBuys.

      • +3

My impression is that as these are manual adjustments they sit in a pile somewhere waiting for someone to process them. Most likely in India.

        • sit in a pile somewhere waiting for someone to process them

Isn't that terribly inefficient? They can see the FB partner transaction (in fact, the entire receipt) from their end.

          • +1

@DoctorCalculon: I know that at least for online purchases Flybuys cannot see what you have purchased or how much you spent asI have been asked on several occasions to email receipts to prove items were OOS when spend was under the required amount. So perhaps the 2 systems are not integrated.

  • +2

Yeah same here.I reckon it was a big con to move all there crap paper, tell flybuy team do nothing.Maybe a call to consumer watchdog cause so many people got got with crap paper

    • huh, you got the same story as me? i'll be pretty pissed if they dont respond in a timely manner if i bothered to call and even offer further proof such as receipt copy & photos of instore signage displaying the promo

      • +1

If there is the possibility that you will have to email proof just email the whole issue, you will save the 30 min phone wait.

        • +1

composing an email while on hold just in case i get cut off

  • frickin hell still chasing these points…they werent credited despite calling FB and being promised an update in 10 days.
on my second call now with a 30 minute wait time….sheeesh

  • Called fb yesterday like you on hold 40 mins told refer to team get email or phone call in 5 to 10 days.Looks like they stuffed up and not going to give points.Weve all been coned.Good way to bait everyone

    • +1

called back today and CS rep said it has been approved (finally!), notes are on file and points to be credited by early next week….
lets see, eh? i'll be furious if i have to call again!

looks like persistence is key so maybe try again and just have them on speakerphone while youre doing something else so you dont waste the half hour :P

      • Or just email.

  • I've got a feeling I will be calling back in 10 working days,I've never had to wait 40 mins before.was that a Coles rep who said its been approved or fb rep.Im in WA so they must know where the promotion tags were sent cause everything is computerized so I don't why there playing dumb.

    • FB rep….just demand your points. it was displayed in store as a flybuys branded promo….2x coles staff confirmed it was active & valid for me…
FB have confirmed they will be crediting the bonus…use this as leverage to get your points

  • +2

I will wait 10 days n call again will be 4th time.Looks like everyone else in the chat have given up or got there points.

    • +1

They know most people don't give a `^ and wont chase $10 .
      I'm in that club :)

      • ….for me its $20 and the principle i.e i dont like being ripped off

        • +2

Some merchant today took my dough at launch on something that's already tripled and cancelled the order 2 hrs latter .
I send an email : Is there a reason my order was accepted and cancelled ?
I will be in contact with State Consumer regulators .

Amazing they took the order again :)

  • +1

The thing is fb hasn't admitted to the mistake and reading through everyone's chat I don't think anyone got the 2nd promotion points. No one from fb has given me a answer just it can take up to 5 to 10 days. They know the promotion and how many packets I bought so why don't they give me the points.

    • +1

lets see. todays call seemed pretty 'certain'….notes were there from last call on the 12.3.21 and she seemed to be certain that i had been credited the points and i'll see them early next week….stay tuned :P

      • +2

I got a response today to my follow up that it's still under investigation. No indication of when it will be resolved.

        • +2

          jesus christ….the flybuys-toilet-paper-bonus-points-promo-saga-2021 continues….
stay tuned for more shit-astic customer service, contradictory info and disorganisation like youve never seen before

          • +1

@franco cozzo: Ok so the latest today is that they have now added the points to my account and I should allow 48 hours for this to be reflected. Looks like balance has increased by 2,000 so looks like it has finally come through?

    • +2

how many packets I bought so why don't they give me the points

      ^^ This this!

Claiming missing points from FB is simply not worth it as they just give you the runaround.

  • +2

Better luck than me.So all those people who bought and did nothing are missing out

  • Has anyone got any success yet on their missing points claim? I sent an email, still no reply, been 2 weeks.

    • no! mine were supposed to land early this week ….they didnt
thats 2x phone calls to FB over and about an hour on waiting/call times
      …what a joke!

      • +1

Maybe we need a class action.

  • +1

FB has never been this long to answer call, I have called 3 times 120 + mins waiting time to get a answer.Maybe cause plenty calls over toilet paper or deliberate to put everyone of.Has anyone got points on 2nd promotion ending on 16/3 cause on first promotion got points next day when checked activity log said Coles off shelf offer.

  • Not associated with Coles

    • …damn. we were so ready to go absolutely ballistic

  • +1

hey while i was waiting during the last call to FB (2nd) i was bored and composed this…

    Hello Flybuys,

I have an issue with missing Bonus Points from (date) @ Coles (suburb)
(Store ### CS (suburb), Receipt ####, time

Bonus Offer: 2000 Bonus flybuys Points with Coles So Soft 3 Ply Hypo-Allergenic Toilet Tissue 32 Pack $13 was not credited to my account. I purchased # of these during my shop with the expectation of #### Bonus Points as per signage displayed with the products in store.

Points were not credited so I called Customer Assistance on the (date) & did not receive a response in 10 days nor was my account updated with the missing #### Bonus Points as was promised. Could you please rectify this?

…feel free to use this if you want to…lets do it i reckon. its a joke calling flybuys CS
i havent sent it yet but i will tomorrow i reckon
    its about the principle now.

    • +1

Do you have an email address for flybuys? I can't find one online.

Also "funnily", this promotion is still being advertised in Port Melbourne Coles and the staff reckon I should get credited the points straight away.🤦

  • +1

…3rd call today ffs. 3-5 days to wait and they will call when points are credited. this is ridiculous

    • they will call

Hahahahaha! They were saying that to get you off the phone.

Not that this will solve the problem for you right away, I would suggest reporting them to the ACCC for deceptive marketing practices.
They are a big company, and should be held accountable for misleading customers like this.

  • Call Centre Adjustment 26 Apr 2021
    $0
    4,000 pts

…only took 3x calls and 1.5 hrs of my time…!

    • +2

$13.33/hour and free stress … (I hope you have unlimited phone calls on your plan)
I feel your pain. There should be a law saying you get 10% extra compensation for each call after first complaint.
