Palit GeForce RTX 3060 Dual GPU $798 + Shipping @ MightyApe

28

I know it's not USD 329 but hey, two month ago a $750 3060Ti was considered a bad deal.
If you need one now, it's a bit cheaper.
If you want it to be even cheaper, mine with it, just avoid mining ETH you'll probably be fine to cut it down to USD 329 in 2-3 months.

geez i paid $620 for a 2070 in mid 2019. This is just getting out of hand.

While this is technically cheap based on other current inflated options, it is way above MSRP (as you mentioned) and way above what this card will ever be worth, since it performs similar to a 2060Super with 12GB VRAM. Considering It is possible to acquire a 3060ti for a similar price, I'd shoot for that or wait for this card to drop to its proper price.

From where? The only cards I see in stock are the 2060 and they now seem to go for $750+.

      • Yeah my bad i should've written was* I bought mine around a month ago for that price, you really just need to wait for the right time and right stock since it is so volatile at the moment.

I'm not normally an OzRRP whinger but this is just hideous gouging on a card with pretty mediocre performance

Out of curiosity, what are ppl mining these days?

Last I read about it pretty much everything wasn’t worth mining any more due to cost of electricity plus GPU’s not being able to process things as fast as ASIC miners.

    • Then cryptocurrencies all went through the roof, 3000 series gpus came out, mining became profitable again, and here we are today

With 3060ti I was getting about $10 aud per day a couple of weeks ago, and about $7-8 now. And whole computer burns 200W when mining. Electricity cost is negligible at the current price.
In total I mined $300 from Christmas till now. I just keep the machine running when I’m not gaming.

      • Ha, yeah right, I had no idea it was worth wild doing again.
Thanks for taking the effort to reply.

The main profitable coin for GPU mining is Ethereum. Bitcoin hasn't been profitable on GPUs for a very long time (<2013).

glad that I paid $920 for a 3070 two months ago and get out of this mess.

I'm sorry but at this point, it's better to just stay with whatever you have. Can't support this on Ozbargain. Even if you use $400 as the USD conversion to account for GST, Exchange Rate, AIB premium + whatever else, the maximum this card should go for is ~$550.

EVGA 3060Ti XC is cheaper than this.

The 3060 non-Ti is a significantly slower card.

    Not a bargain.

    • Yeah that's the card I have, I got it for $720 lol. The reason someone posted this is because in comparison to the other prices for this card at the moment this is like $100 off, even then they're all massively inflated

No 3060Ti is in stock right now. The ones in stock are $1000+.
The card pays itself within 6 months hence the price.

      • Good luck getting it paid off after EIP1556 comes into play in a few months' time.

Garbage price for a card that at best hovers around a 2070S. If you have to buy a card now instead of waiting for a 3060 to reach RRP ($329 USD) wait until AMD's announcement on March 4th.

    • It's more like just below a 2060S.

  • +1

At RRP the 3060 is by itself a terrible deal given the useless 12GB of VRAM, it's poor price/perf for gaming compared to models priced higher than it and its halved hash rate for crypto mining. At ~67% above MSRP, it is a total rip-off. Posting it as a "bargain" is a waste of everyone's time.

    • Be realistic about the market mate. Even in the US you'll be lucky to get one under $500 USD.

      • I would argue you'd be rather unlucky. Either way this card is performing at substantially worse price/perf than the previous generation, so it's hardly a bargain.

Here at Nvidia we charge you more for less . Get 2060 super like performance for only $300 more than a 2060 super. Nvidia fan Bois be like yay.

I curiously looked at used RTX 2060 S listings and wow, at best there's one for $600 on Gumtree, ignoring an outright scam on eBay (some scumsicle selling "Photo+Spec Sheet" "actual graphics card not included" for $650)… which doesn't mean this post is a deal, of course, only that there aren't really good options atm :-(

  • Totally ridiculous

  • Price is insane, buy hey its probably the cheapest out there
