Feedback from customer on Amazon
"….Peak temperatures while gaming would reach 97 degrees. After repaste, the maximum temperature that I recorded was 90 degrees on COD and GTA 5 running at their max settings….There is enough of it in the tube for two repastes." —by Nishanth Panati

"This is the best paste ever invented, with the exception of the Grizzly liquid metal thermal compound that is limited to non-cooper-base coolers."— by Lorry Bucci

Is this the same product as the one from PCCG? It’s $12 there atm:

    normal price? https://www.pccasegear.com/products/33322/thermal-grizzly-kr…

    bascailly free delivery with Amazon

    • Which is a massive saving.

completely agree with you but it was misleading to say 45.5% off and before they edited it the price was higher than $11.95 as well

        • Now that the text was edited to remove the percentage off, does it still warrant a negative vote?

  • whoops forgot not to post information so edited

I bought this in Jan from them for $15.85.

This is definitely not $23.98 RRP.

    • +1

Pretty sure I saw this for $12, I don't know how this is even considered a deal…

  • PCCG charges freight $15 for standard delivery.
Our deal is better if you take the freight fee into consideration. (and if you are a Prime member you get free delivery)

Make it a flat Tenner for the OzB community, and you'll have them fly off the shelves.

  • This is standard price not a deal, just advertising.

  • PSA:
There are reports of a bad batch of Kryonaut in circulation that can scratch your CPU.

The reports can be found by Googling bad batch Kryonaut or at the following links:

    https://bit.ly/3rl02DY
    https://bit.ly/3ebI8jC
    https://bit.ly/30fSTJu

Unless someone can confirm that the paste being sold will not scratch your CPU, before applying I'd test on something less valuable such as your Wife's or Girlfriend's Jewellery.

    • sounds like counterfeit thermal paste, if the product does not contain a code which can be validated here: https://verify.thermal-grizzly.com/ its fake. PCCG is an official reseller.

      • There is a comment in one of the links which stated Thermal Grizzly had announced one of their batches were bad.

Personally, I do not care as my go to pastes are MX-4, TF8 or TFX.

        • produced in 2018

          • @goig986: .

Do you work for Harris or thermal grizzly?

There have been reports of the bad batch still being sold in 2020.

Further, it is not impossible for another bad batch to be produced.

I'm just saying be careful and check the paste before you use it.

            • @BlameTheCat: No, if you're so worried about it then avoid purchasing from small stores that could potentially be holding stock for years. As I mentioned earlier if the product does not contain a code which can be validated here: https://verify.thermal-grizzly.com/ then return it, they didn't have this system back then so you will know if your stock is old or not.

              • @goig986: .

What do you have against testing the paste before you apply it on the CPU?

Do you believe that another bad batch is impossible?

                • @BlameTheCat: Anything is possible, better test the air before you breathe it. Could happen to any company and wasting expensive paste for "testing" when there is other ways to determine if its old stock is pointless. If its that "gritty" you will notice when applying it anyway. "I can also tell you that we changed the supplier after this incident. The new chemical factory has top-notch roll mills which we personally inspect every quarter to make sure we can maintain perfect quality."

                    @goig986: .

                    There are couple of problems:

Using the argument that you should test the air as a response to testing thermal paste is a logical fallacy.

Stating people notice gritty paste ignores the evidence that has been presented by me.

Calling thermal paste expensive is a clear attempt to appeal to people's wallets.

Thermal paste is relatively inexpensive when you consider the cost of the parts that is applied.

I'm not saying to test huge amounts of the paste just enough to ensure the quality of the paste.

It is always better to be safe than sorry.

                    • @BlameTheCat: "logical fallacy" lmfao.
                      What evidence?
Appealing to people's wallets is the entire point of this website.
Kryonaut is one of the most expensive pastes on the market $12 a gram.
A test will waste half the tube in this deal, as I explained is a pointless endeavour.
Sorry for what exactly? tiny pitting on a metallic surface?
The sandpaper required to remedy that problem (that i'm still convinced isn't going to happen) is cheaper than the thermal paste used.

  • -1

Do I really need to explain that the links provided show people only noticing the problem after they installed the paste?

Further, I'm fully aware appealing to people's wallet is the purpose of this website.

I'm also aware that because of this most people on this site would hate to hurt the resale value of their CPU.

Regardless, If you need to use half the tube of paste for testing than you are doing it wrong.

Lastly, do you actually believe that most people on this site would try sandpapering their CPU?

If you do why not tell them to use Gallium?

Since Gallium will also remove all the scratches and is easier than sandpapering.

  • kryo has a short life in use - requiring re-app in 12 - 18 months - why bother? unless it glows in the dark!

    • Really? 12-18 months? Or else it overheats?

      • temps rise as it dries out quick…
