AFAIK, main difference vs S2721QS is pivot adjustment (better on S2721QS), HDR (S2721QS no HDR10), Better HDCP (2.2 vs 1.4 S2721QS), and a few more gimmicks such as Super Resolution+)

It feels like LG is a better monitor but anyone feels differently?

  You also forgot to mention this LG is also dimmer at 300 cd/m² (vs S2721QS‘ 350 cd/m²) so even this has HDR10 it is still too dim to take advantage of HDR.

got my S2121QS yesty, not bad not great but at $291 pretty happy till we get some more OLED/MiniLEDs
