  • The other sxfi models are also on sale.

    • yea, but i couldnt resist getting one of these thou…

This even has a microSD card slot to directly play music from! The only thing missing is band28 ;)

    • it's an interesting innovation, but without a screen to select your music, I suspect it will only play tracks at random like an ipod shuffle.

      • Use your smartphone to browse the songs on your microSD card via the SXFI AIR Control App.

        • +1

          ah, why of course.

But then, if you're going to use a phone to control your music, may as well let the phone be your player.

  • Great sound quality once you've set up your profile or paired with Dolby Atmos for headphones, protein leather ear cups are a bit soft and insulate heat, and the headband leather is pretty thin and minimally cushioned (genuinely considering using matter leather racquet tape or something similar to reinforce it if/when it inevitably compromises).
The sound of music and movies, especially listening to decent sources e.g. FLAC, Blu-Ray etc. is truly something special with this technology I feel.

    • does it come with a carry case?

      • +1

Nope, would be handy to have, no case included.

  • According to one of the user reviews, it even does ANC and is "as good as" anything else they've had, whatever that means.

But I couldn't find mention of ANC on the product page itself. Can someone confirm?

It sounds very cheap if it does all that.

    Are these on-ears or over-ears?

    • +1

I wouldn’t say it has ANC, certainly blocks out some ambient noise, but I wouldn’t say it’s competitive with a dedicated solution to this end.
They are over ear, not on.

  • Anybody used these for xbox or playstation gaming (if not interested in the mic)

    • +3

For PS4 it works in USB mode. For Xbox One, you have to connect it via 3.5mm to the controller's headphone jack. That method should also work for PS4. Neither can pair it with BT for audio.

No mention of PS5/XSX/XSS support, though the the 3.5mm to controller jack should definitely work still.

      • That's a deal breaker for me. Was hoping to buy this to use wirelessly on the ps5. Thanks for the info

        • I think you can connect it via BT but only for voice chat, not audio.

It's the consoles that are restricting the use of the headphones, not the headphones themselves. Sony's official headphones come with a USB receiver.

  • I have been using my bluetooth taotronics with the cable plugged into the ps5 controller and they work great. Obviously not bluetoorh but your holding the controller anyway si easy to pkug headphones into it
