And too expensive! … and I've read (in these deals, over time) too many negative comments regarding Newegg's after sales service and warranty support.
Never mind … prices will come down in time, once global manufacturing and supply kinks get smoothed out :).

Enlighten me, how much did you pay for your 5950x if it was not "a heap load more"?I think the cheapest I've seen the 5950X was $1200. Which isn't a huge increase over this tbh, cheaper per core too: 26% money for 33% more cores.

I paid $1060 for my 5900x in December from Amazon. At this point good luck getting for RRP while stock shortage.
Beast of a cpu but it you don't need all 12 cores then the 8 core is easier to find in stock now.
Yep exactly. You paid overs sure, but you have a CPU in your hands, while those still waiting for RRP can only hope/wait.
Yeah I was happy to get an upgrade for Christmas present for myself. My i7 6700k quad core could barely keep up with my work flow.
Since it was sold by Amazon Australia I was happy to pay above retail but i would be hesitant to buy off random ebay or Facebook sellers above retail
