Cheaper than Myer and Catch and if prime member free shipping. Ordered a pair, not sure how Amazon makes money on free shipping on sub $10 items for prime members, yes there is a monthly/yearly fee but I order multiple sub $10 items on a daily basis with free shipping and surely get my paid fee back in return .

I wonder how many buy this but then end up only using it once or twice.

Amazon's like a drug dealer, once they get you, you start buying things without thinking much.

    • very true 😂

    • I think I am a victim of that

Yea thats how amazon makes your money. You join prime for free shipping and think you ahead. But then you get free twitch prime and 2 weeks later you donating $500 a week to your queen and twitch/amazon pockets $250.

        • I log in each month and give my twitch prime sub to a non gaming streamer with low/no viewers. They always get so excited at it.

          • @downbythecreek: irl titty streamer?

            • @Chchnu: Nah, they already get simps… I mean subs. Usually they're the crafting/making streamers. The last one was some guy making model trains, the one before was a blacksmith and the one before was a girl sewing something. i just find whoever is actively streaming without any subs.

If they had an "order this now and we'll hold on to it until you buy enough shit to make decent shipment" option, I'd totally go for it.

Also stuff from Amazon US seems to be about 80% more likely to come in entirely recyclable paper based packaging. Not sure why Amazon AU can't do that.

      • Agreed. I made 2 small orders on Friday, one of which had both US and AU items in it.

There are three shipments. One arrived today. One is scheduled to arrive on Monday. And one will arrive the week after.

I'd be fine with the AU items from the first order, and the whole second order, arrived on Monday.

I think it's likely to do with warehouse space - if they hold onto it for you (and it could be a couple days, couple weeks or more), they're holding warehouse space for something else they could be selling

Damn. Thought these were for the (BBQ) grill.

You’d be surprised how cheap non-express shipping is for big volume senders. I doubt Amazon would pay AusPost even $1 for small parcels like this.
