Rockwell ShopSeries Car Polisher 240mm 120W $29.99 (Was $49.99) C&C /+ Delivery @ Supercheap Auto

320

I thought this deserved a deal on its own as some said its better than the ozito at Bunnings thats going for the same price.

Some other ideas for using it:

  • Spot cleaning of carpet
  • Light cleaning of walls
  • Cleaning benchtops and desks
  • Light sanding of paint
  • Cleaning windows and glass doors

  • why this better than ozito?

    • I dont know. Just went off the comments here https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/610231

One might have cheaper buffing pads too if theyre not standard. The discussion over there says the ozito has strings

      10 more watts baby!

      • Ozito has adjustable handles and 1 more year of warranty

Wonder what the rpm is though

If you are buying cheap anyway, this allows to buy it even cheaper. Cashback, gift card discount, makes it better price than Ozito/ Bunnings.

These are useless. Save your coin.

    • Could you please suggest one for a beginner that's good to start with?

The Rockwell or toolpro DA (Dual Action) polishers from Supercheap are a good starting point. Purchase some decent suitable pads from waxit and use Meguiar's ultimate range products. Watch a few YouTube videos on techniques and you'll be good to go. Using a decent DA is a lot quicker than hand, can yield awesome results with patience and is almost impossible to destroy your vehicle's clear coat.

        • Appreciate your reply mate. Cheers.

Thanks OP. I had one of these and wasn't that impressed with it. It does an OK job in line with what you're paying for it, so fairly mediocre.

  • Waiting for the Rockwell DA to go on sale…

  • Would this be good / easier / better for applying concrete surface sealant?
Or just stick to roller and handle?

    • Well it would be better than using a hammer I guess.

    • No it would splatter everywhere and not carry enough sealer.

      Stick to roller.

  • Good for massage. YMMV

Massage was okay, but my butt really shines!

I love mine. Other feedback might be user error.

  • I've got one of these which I use for a quick buffing on my car every couple of weeks in between bi-monthly wax jobs, it is great for that, but for value and a more professional job you can't go past a Rockwell DA. for the average home user
