        You can spend 200-300$ on Accom ( 2 nights ) then do an attraction or tour to bump up to 400

    I had a look at the "luxurious" Holiday Inn Express and it was $254 normal price and $165 using the link. Not exactly BOGOF.

    sofitel melbourne during this offer period with 'one night free' is $531 or split across 2 nights is $265.50 per night, incl breakfast and valet parking.
    a month later outside this 'one night free' offer period the regular cost is 255 a night w/o the thrown in breakfast or valet parking.

    so its kinda BS.

    tried to book Sofitel Melbourne on Collins in April, but still charged ~$550 for 2 nights, not really buy 1 get 1 free

    This is nothing but false advertising. If select one night comes in at $295, two nights $560.
