Kogan Air Fryer 6.2L $79 + Delivery (Free with First) @ Kogan

130

I have 3 of these, great for the money, can't fault them. Great for home made AB's with guacamole.

Take note you may need to protect your benchtops, also point the vent away from the power socket, I filled mine with moisture/water when the stream condensed inside and around it in winter.

You need to put a fire break between the unit and your bench otherwise you damage your bench.

    • +1

Definitely, we just had our benchtop replaced due to our Kogan air fryer creating a 40cm crack in our Caesarstone benchtop. Have been using a large piece of timber since we first noticed the damage in mid 2019.

      • +1

We have used ours on laminate no problems, but I get the concern. Caeserstone is not a great product, heard of and experienced a lot of issues with it, it's basically fancy concrete. Granite is the only way to go.

  • How much is it normally?

    • $149.99

    I have 3 of these

Do you run them is series or parallel?

    • Concurrently

    • 2 yes, 3 no, I have 2 at a holiday location.

How does this go at flash drying underwear/socks?

    • +4

Use a microwave for that. The microwaves targets the water molecules, just take them off first.

      • +3

Pete puts his underpants in the microwave to dry them, and is surprised to find that they suddenly provide him with incredible strength and speed… until he goes for a swim and they start to shrink.

Meanwhile, Tiger has organised a frog race, but Gribble's toad, Mugger, seems set to eat all the other contestants. Pete arrives late with Loopy Leaper, Bronson's pet frog equipped with the now tiny underpants.

        just take them off first.

        Instructions unclear.

    • Athletico Mince fan perhaps?

wow, how many models do they sell! Crazy.

Also, how shady are the kogan reviews….cant even read any of them!

Guys stay away from Kogan products, as they are low quality. Had trouble buying phone and blender(Kogan brand) never ever again.

  • Interesting comments about protecting the power point and bench top. Gotta check mine.

  • What is a 'homemade AB'?

think halal snack pack while flexing you are from radelaide

      • +1

I had no idea that being from radelaide was something worthy of flex ;D

    • Think what a drunk Med student might call his late night snack i.e. "what's that meal, it looks like an abo…..ion". I don't think the original name is halal. By the way it's meant to be eaten with you fingers, if you use a fork you are doing it wrong.

Same guy came up with the best way to get free snacks from a vending machine, it involves a possum. PS animal cruelty is not condoned.

This or woolworth, big w, target, etc brands?

    • Probably all the same crap. Ideally you want to get a Phillips that has stainless steel basket. My kogan 5.2l had the non stick coating come off, so it's probably in my blood forever now. Maybe my fault for using cooking spray (a big no no with non stick)

That said, I used afterpay for the first time to get $30 off and bought the one posted here for $50.

    • This one if capacity matters. Similarly priced ones from big w etc. are only around ~5L

      • +1

Kogan used to call this a 5.2L but marketing must have changed it to 6.2L. If you look at the specs for volume it says: Basket: 5.2L | Full Pot: 6.2L. When I was looking at air fryer reviews on Choice a Kogan 5.2L Air Fryer was rated higher than other similar priced (and some dearer) models. I decided to get one but couldn't find it on the Kogan site. This 6.2L one looked identical, turns out the reason it looked identical is because it is. It has the same model number KA5LDGAFRYA as the 5.2L one on Choice. Note the 5L in the model number.

        • Thanks for the heads up. Seems rather deceptive to call it 6.2L but it's Kogan so I shouldn't be surprised.

    • This one was actually rated well in group test by Choice.

  • Previously did lots of research and took a leap on Kogan. Have the 8.2L and it’s been fantastic for over a year now. Just don’t use cooking spray on it as a lot of reviewers had issues with it and make sure to put a board underneath. I had tried it a couple times on laminate without issues but didn’t want to keep “testing” the theory and end up with more damage that the AF is worth. I’d go Kogan again without issues.

This is now 15% less with Kogan's 15% off 15-year birthday. Comes to 67.99 then. Thinking about giving this a shot.

    • I couldn't wait just one farking day.

      • Cancel your order

        • I don't think they let you

          • @TEER3X: Just contact them if it hasn’t shipped

            • @Pricebeat: This deal ends tonight though, I paid with afterpay to get $30 off so probably won't be able to use that discount again today.

              No biggie.
