  • Bit unfortunate this uses WebOS. Anyone have much experience with it to say how good or bad it is?

    • May be you could go through some of the comments on this deal. I do not have experience either with this OS. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/584862

    • Webos is LG's operating system.
I really like it but have only briefly used it on an eko TV

    • +1

Bought it in the last Nov deal. TV has been used every day for Chromecast, Netflix, Prime, Youtube and SBS iView. Absolutely nothing wrong with it except maybe the buttons on the remotes are hard and WebOS is just a tad lags

      • Does the inbuilt chromecast work like normal chromecast? Or is it like some tvs with their specific casting program that is a pain

  • +1

I am a LG Oled user and have used webos for 3 years, and can say out of all the proprietary TV OS it is the best, easy to use, even with the newer version, which has started to look more like android tv(which might be its downfall).
Problem with the EKO tv using webos is that the magic remote is a cost extra.
The should include it as standard.

    • Any idea what the magic remote for EKO costs? I can't find it on the BigW website and the EKO website asks you to entire your life history before giving you any details…

    Thanks OP. Purchased!

Reminder 4% off Big W gift cards for HCF members.

  • I purchased the 75" Android TV from this deal a while back - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/602212

Was just wondering if anyone has found the optimal picture/video calibration settings for the panel?

  • Does anyone know if this is ARC enabled?

    • Yep, from manual:

HDMI ARC - Sound from the TV can be output through an external audio device connected via a HDMI (ARC) port.
      - Select HDMI ARC to automatically turn on SIMPLINK. Once SIMPLINK is turned off, the output speaker settings automatically revert to the default settings for uninterrupted audio output.

  • This isn't QLED is it?

    • +1

No its not a QLED panel but you wont notice the difference unless you had them side by side.

  • anyone know if this has a Vesa mount?

    • +1

Yes it has a vesa mount

  • I thought the qled was the new model, looks like it's on clearance 400

    • I think no stocks on above ones.

  • @JimB: what you think about this one?

  • This one is K750USW, last Nov deal one is K750USN. Anyone knows any big differences?

  • Smart TV firmware is LGs webOS and the TV itself is FAST (boot from OFF and even near-instant from STANDBY). I can personly attest to how good this TV is with AndriodTV but if you can get that version, its $999 (was on sale for $899 when I shared it on OZB). Audio is pretty good but a 2.1 soundbar like the Samsung HW550 for around or under $200 isnt a must but makes for an amazing cinema experience! The TV is bright and images POP. Perfect for streaming TV and if you want to show off, Disney+ content does it justice! Dont pay more for the 2021 newly announced microLED, NANO that, and marketing bullshit when this is a fraction of the price and every bit as good IMO.

IF you must spend more then the 75" 8K TCL at $3500 is the next best bang for the dollar! But for 4K, you will love this, trust me!

    settings on the andriod version:
The built in ones work well. VIVID for brightness, STANDARD for extra brightness, MOVIE (has a yellow tinge for WARM) & SPORT (and the custom USER MODE). User mode settings are set my me for optimnal streaming movie watching pleasure and not to replicate the modes already built in as they are fine and I do use them, depending on the content being played.

    PICTURE/USER. OFF: dynamic lighting, backlight:50. Brightness:55, Contrast/Saturation:55 too
    Sharpness:10 Gamma DARK, Color: cool ~ advanced; DNR:auto, adaptive/low, local contrast:high, MPEG/low, DI/Auto

buy a soundbar too, samsung for under $200 2.1 or atmos capable $500

    settings, SPDIF"PCM. audio/normal DTS/all ON

  • Thanks for posting op. bought one this morning but havent picked up yet. Fingers crossed. Nice to know others have had a good experience with this model. Wondering if these TVs work with the standard lg magic remote? Or do you have to buy from eko?

    • and ive cancelled my order since you now can get one from ebay using the afterpay deal

  • If anyone has one of these or the older model, be awesome if you could provide the height from the top of the cabinet it is sitting on to the bottom of the tv so I can determine if my soundbar will fit without blocking the screen. Cheers with beers

  • Got this yesterday and pretty happy overall, BUT NO DISNEY PLUS, it says the app is in the lg store for LG tv's , but wont come up from within the search menu from this EKO model,

    • further to this response from EKO :-
" Disney + will be available in the coming couple of month via n auto updates , currently working with LG on Optimising"

  • Hey guys, i got a choice of either getting one of these or the new Aldi 70inch tv. Which would be better quality and specs etc. Tia
