  • Fantastic price!

    • I paid like $700 something less than two months ago :(

I didn’t buy, but was closed to pulling the trigger @ $649 just 3 weeks ago

  • Comes with speakers which won't be amazing but useful.

any cashback or promotional deals lol?

This is a sure buy at this price. Paid $650 a few weeks ago but had to send it for RMA as there was a dead backlight right in the center.

  • Had xiaomi last week for 450, would have this instead at this price, back lighting on xiaomi is terrible, brightness is different in different zones

  • not sure to buy 34'' or another 27'', as a second monitor

  • I'd recommend this, especially at this price. HWUnboxed review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C5FunMmbztw.

Bit of patchy backlighting on the top half but I don't notice it unless I try to find it. And I struggle with the on screen controls button - annoying trying to turn off .

Is this "that" Gigabyte ultrawide monitor that HWU often mentions/recommends? they usually just say "the Gigabyte monitor", so just double checking if it's this :)

    • How is the ghosting on this monitor? Is it visible while scrolling through text and while gaming?

      • +2

I haven't noticed it, but I haven't been looking and haven't done much high refresh rate gaming. The HWUnboxed review is pretty comprehensive on ghosting and provides guidance on what modes to use to help with this.

Their takeaway is that this is better ghosting-wise than the Xiaomi (due to their comparable prices)

  • Thanks! rtings said it was a go so I jumped on it!

Out of stock now though so sorry to those who missed out.

  • isn't VA "terrible"? I really interested in the Specs but have never had a VA screen not sure if it's that bad.

    • It's just different. Out of TN, VA and IPS, VA generally has middle colour accuracy, middle refresh rate, middle price levels, best contrast. Has great viewing angles but can sometimes have low light smearing, which can make dark scenes in games a bit mushy on not-so-good monitors.

  • Damn son. Was tempted at $680 when it came out but this is a fantastic price.

  • What is warranty like?

    • +1

I took my graphics card (bad fan) to their service centre in Clayton once because it was next to uni. They said it wasn't normal to drop off in person, but they made me fill out a form and took the card. Called me to pick it up a week later. Can't complain about that.

  • Any more specials on this model of monitor?
