Interesting. Ours had control unit issues 2 months out of warranty. Despite probably being caused by the cockroaches that had taken up residence they replaced the control unit, then when it was still having issues replaced the whole machine under goodwill. Maybe you got a dud representative?
Is it resolved now?

Yes I replaced the pump myself.
It was a pain as well as the new pump had a slight design change so I had to remove the mounting bracket that it locks into as well.
Otherwise it would have been an easy swap over.
They are expensive and two years warranty. You should've involved ACCC and get it repaired for free.

We purchased the WAW 28640 and had issues with the pump just outside of warranty.
Bosch wanted nothing to do with it.
