Afterpay

I have been waiting for this compressor to go on sale since December last year. It is part of the current catalogue sale at $399 RRP $599. Using the Afterpay code should bring it down to $369.

I need to hand in my ozbargain card as I purchased it on Thursday for click and collect at $399 and was pretty upset when I saw the Afterpay deals. Still $399 is a good saving on the $599 RRP.

The main advantage of this compressor is the silent design. They certainly aren’t silent, however are amazing compared the the standard types. A few manufacturers are making this type of compressor currently, this Stanley unit seems to be the only one I can find with a 2 year warranty, most of the others are only 1.

It does seem to be a rebadged Chinese unit that can be purchased online for about $340, however, I believe the SCA 2 year warranty more than makes up for this.

        I’d have to buy another at $319.20 and return that physical item using my original $399 receipt (mines out of the box and being used). I’m unsure of SCA’s change of mind policy, however, I’m not sure it passes my own pub test for being morally correct. I’m comfortable I got $200 off and will just swallow my shame with a glass of whisky tonight.

    I wouldn't recommend this one. I had one, it lasted about 6 months before the regulator failed and because it's some kind of proprietary setup, couldn't be replaced.

    The one OP listed has a standard regular so should be fine, but steer clear of this model.

  My 30 year old, Australian made Ingersoll Rand 15cfm compressor tends to disagree. Would be nice if it was quieter though.

  I have a generic blackridge "silent" air compressor and while it's not truly silent, it's a god send. It does tyres great, very quiet and has a good duty cycle.
