  • Can you pls check the price? For eg 75” is showing after discount 2336

    • Yeah I just remembered Afterpay has a limit on eBay so the code won't work on the 75"

      • It’s working somehow but only 300$ off

        • I think $300 is the limit as it's $300 on the 65" too

          • @Avarus999: Yes that’s correct for few items after pay code works above 2000$ Values. May be works if we pay using gift cards to reduce payment to nil but haven’t tested

  • How do you find out whether only box damaged or product failure addressed?

    • I'm not sure, but going on what it says it is specifically refurbished as box damaged items have their own listing.

I just thought the price and that it has 12 months Sony warranty may be worth it

  • How good is sony refurbished/seconds? Are they like new/box damaged?

  • Box damage definitely go for it. Refurbished at your own risk! I got one of those large speaker systems from them before and you could tell it had definitely been used.

  • thanks op, been looking for a decent priced 65" oled, but this does everything else i want and the price is too good to pass up

Sony TV is so expensive in Aus, 1500AUD you can get a brand new 65X9500H(not 9000H) in China.

    • +15

      see ya then lol

    • We are a small market cant compare to China or US! If you are in NZ our price would be cheap. Besides we "should" be making more money so the price should be higher.

      • +1

"Besides we "should" be making more money so the price should be higher."

So if you earn more than me you should pay more for the the same product? Lol

        • +3

We is an inclusive term and this case it's used in a national sense. That's how national economics and wages worked. If products had razor thin profits, the workers would have minimal wages. Individuals pay more in the sense of a higher tax rate.

Would pounce on this if it was the x9500h

    • +1

I managed to grab a refurb one, there were 3 of them, gone within 10 mins of listing.
Though I'm kicking myself that I didn't use the code….I looked at it but didn't think it applied :/

      • How much was it?

        • $1999, so just under the cut off :/
(great username and avatar by the way :) )

          • +1

@fenric: And that was 65 inch?

            Much appreciated :)

            • @spiff: Yea, sorry, should have specified 65 inch. I was looking at the 65" x9000h but there was only $160 difference, so I went for it. I have been looking at them since October, but never managed to find/catch a sale.

              • @fenric: Amazing! Been waiting for that tv to get <2k. Enjoy :)

Hmm only 12month warranty and refurbished so probably won't be covered for long under ACCC plus ongoing delayed updates to the hdmi 2.1 functionality.

Is very tempting but might have to pass. Shame not box damaged for this price :p

    • With bulky items like tv I think it’s better to buy from bricks and mortar stores considering you’re paying a grand or so for such purchase

    • +2

Surely expectation with ACCC would be over 12 months for a $1600 purchase

  • Hi has anyone got this to work? Keep getting 'code can't be applied to order' error!

    • select payment option as afterpay

      • Just wasn't working on my phone - logged in on laptop and worked straight away..

  • +2

Why don't they ever release damaged box models of the X950H xD

  • Has anyone received this message trying to use GC

"Looks like you've used a lot of gift cards lately. You can redeem more gift cards in a couple of days."

I only have used 4 in this transaction. I did redeem 2 yesterday for $120 but that should effect this transaction

    • +1

Yep I got the same message when buying a TV in the last TGG eBay promo. I could only use $1500 of GC, which was 6 GC, so I think it’s the dollar amount not the number of cards. To make matters worse I had gone on eBay live chat beforehand and they told me there was no limit!

    • Nvm I didnt realise there is a $1500 GC limit on using eBay gift cards….going to have to put $36 on after pay

  • +1

Have they finally got the promised features working for HDMI 2.1 or no?

    • +1

Not yet. 4k 120hz has been improved but not perfect yet. TV downsamples to 3840x1080 then upscales to 4k.

There was an announcement video by Sony stating all X1 processor TV's will support 4k 120hz, ALL and VRR by Winter 2021 (US Winter i presume)

      • +1

Do you have a link to the announcement?

  • Has anyone been able to buy using all gift cards? Dont want to be stuck with $1.5k worth of eBay gift cards

    • +1

See my post above….but max is $1500 so had to put the 36 on after pay.

With 5% cash back on GC works out to be $1461 delivered.

      • Where did you get 5% CB on gift cards?

        • +1

shopback app has swap giftcards at 5%

bought from this lot before. would never do it again. wouldnt even recommend it to my worst enemy. I would seriously recommend avoiding sony ebay.

    • Tell me more. Why?

      • +2

They gave me a faulty tv which i was stuck with for over 6 months. They were a nightmare to deal with. The staff are clearly over the company and the issues they must deal with on a day to day basis because it comes through with their quality of support. I had to complain to multiple gov organizations to get it resolved. i also encountered issues with delivery and the refund to complicate things even more. it took an insane amount of my time up. Ive always been a sony customer over the last 30 years but never again after that. Even the missus said no one in the household will be getting sony products after that lemon. Overall it took around 8 months or so to resolve from the initial purchase until i received my cash back.

The reviews online are true. If you are adamant on buying sony then only do it on new products, unopened, full warranty etc etc imo.

  • This or Hisense Q8?

    • +1

I went Hisense. This is refurbished so didn't wanna deal with a lemon and/or only 12 months warranty.

    • I am thinking the same - Q8 brand new or refurbished X9000H - rather a new unit though…

    • +1

Most things I have read Sony is the winner….people pick Q80 if they cant stretch the budget. Also Sport is a big deal of my viewing and motion blur has been reported as an issue on the Q80.

In saying that this is second's. Still with the same warranty as new so I don't see an issue.

(disclaimer, I am bias as I just bought it)

      • q80 or q8? q80 is a Samsung.

    • Hdmi 2.0 Vs 2.1?

      • I believe so….I don't really game enough to care for 2.1 and if the sony does get updated via firmware its a win for me

  • Anyone know if delivery date can be requested?

  • Sign up with Afterpay ., order one but than got refund .

Afterpay saying eBay canceled order., I got email saying I can still complete payment .!

    Don’t know what’s happening.!

    Happened to anyone.?

  • +1

My 65x9000h arrived today and powers on then powers off at boot screen 6 red flashing lights ☹️. Hope others have better luck

    • Oh thats bad, was that box damaged one or refurbished?

      • Refurb

        • +1

I am so sorry to hear that, I was worried I would have the same experience. Mine has some scratches at the back but so far operation has been perfect.

  • To the people who have received theirs. Which courier did you receive it from? Mine says EFM couriers but they don’t recognise the tracking number.

  • God damn missed out on this - been waiting for a price like that on the 65”.

Anyone know of a way to set up search alerts for these box damaged or deals etc?
