    ALDI chainsaw $99.99

awesome! …what could possibly go wrong??

Yes, please folks if you’re buying one of these chainsaws for the first time (or any chainsaw) please make sure it’s got a chain guard, and that the chain guard works. Also, at least watch some YouTube vids on chainsaw safety before you do anything. Chainsaws are absolutely unforgiving. Even the slightest slip, where the chain can touch your body even very lightly can be very dangerous.

i've got a 16" electric chain saw from aldi previously to use around the home and it has been great. replacement chains are cheap on aliexpress or you can get yourself a sharpener

i've also got the 18v pole saw/hedge trimmer which has also been great.

    Is the blower any good?

  • Is the chainsaw electric powered (via cord) or battery? can't tell from the pictures or description.

    • 1100W … corded

  • Thanks for the clarification.

  • i got the 18v ozito multitool mostly to help parents cut branches in garden but it didn't really cut anything, what would be a good alternative? branches/tree stumps about ~10cm wide

    • a reciprocating saw or a chainsaw

      • Please don't get the ozito 18v recip saw, it is WEAK. Feels cheap and the blade doesn't move that quickly. I would recommend going down the ryobi 18v recip saw. Or if you don't mind cords, the XU1 corded - it is really powerful

    • if you go the reciprocating saw route you probably want to buy a proper pruning reciprocating saw blade with coarser teeth rather than a standard fine-toothed wood blade. a chainsaw would probably be quicker for thicker branches. watch some youtube videos

  • What’s everyone’s thoughts on the pressure washer? Better options out there ? Wait for Bunnings to price match their equivalent?

    • gerni 3300 is 129 at bunnings..not bad for general cleaning

      • mmm. my store showing $149…
just looked at the reviews and they arent great - some people reporting last years one caught fire, eg. https://www.youtube.com/watch?reload=9&v=MmlDVR14ctw

        • the gerni was on special last couple time i was in bunnings….might have gone back up
that video of the aldi one is dodgy as all hell!

          • +1

@franco cozzo: ok cool thanks bud. I know right, just casually lighting on fire

            • @lickjimmy1: checked today for you… the gerni 3000 is the one on sale @ $129…all depends on what you need. have a look at both kits and see if they suit. good warranty as well

the aldi one looks like it would make life interesting at least :P

Complains on every post with China made products and then posts Chinese made products. Nice!

    • Another troll. Welcome.

Products from your country are being sold. Shouldn't you be proud?

      • -3

Call me a troll, then call me Chinese. You're racist and proud.

        • You are the one come looking for arguments and rejoice when someone jokes about the nuking of Australia.

Who is a bigger racist? You.

          • -2

@RSmith: I've never supported any jokes about about nuking Australia. All I ever said is you twisted someone's else's words to support your agenda. Here again you continue to be an outright bigot. You're a disgusting human. I'm proudly Australian and was born here. I respect the multicultural values and the Australian-Chinese citizens we have here. There is not one comment I have made on here that is aimed at someone's race but you continue to think it's acceptable. You made over 60 comments in the Huawei post. Who's argumentive now? I'm here simply commenting the on the irony of you posting Chinese made products but ripping into others for doing the same. You're the one of the biggest troll on this site and most certainly the biggest racist.

            • @4agte: Get off your high horse you filth.

You say you never supported jokes about nuking Australia… you never opposed it either and you did support the poster who made those jokes and continue to do so.

I'm proudly Australian and was born here.

You can thank your parents for that… it's not an achievement of yours.

You made over 60 comments in the Huawei post. Who's argumentive now?

I responded to the fake news items that were being portrayed as facts. There is a difference you see, but of course you won't. You support the people who are anti Australia.

I'm here simply commenting the on the irony of you posting Chinese made products but ripping into others for doing the same.

I give you a week to find 5 posts where I am ripping into people posting Chinese made products. Let me know when you find and get back to me. I ripped into the person who was making jokes about nuking Australia, but your bird brain couldn't understand it and you started attacking me.

Now, you are here trolling me. That makes you a troll as well.

  • I'm not sure whether to get aldi model or this one from bunnings only $99 roughly the same psi https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-2030psi-1800w-high-pressur…
