    My last bonus cashback challenge did not update to complete even after the missing cashback got tracked. I had already emailed your support staff about it and they said it would update but it did not. Really not happy with this service.

        I can understand that problems occur in cashback but what is annoying about shopback is that they do not fix the problem even after they ensure that they would fix it but they don't. You have follow up again and again to fix it otherwise you lose your cashback.

        When I first contacted your support staff they told me this "Your Bonus challenge also will be updated as completed together with the missing Cashback approval."

        Now they emailed me this "Its normal for the system to update your challenge within 24 hours after your investigation for missing Cashback approved."

        Do you see the difference in the two statements?

    The problem with the ShopBack chrome extension is that it is so bloody intrusive to have running in the background when browsing the web.

    The constant inundation of pop-ups drives me nuts and results in me having it disabled by default.

      If the normal cashback has tracked, the challenge status will update to Completed. The bonus will come through shortly after the normal cashback is approved (around 60 days for eBay).

        I completed your Feb 19 rewards ($5 Extension bonus) and got tracked but in the app "rewards" tab, it showed Feb 19 bonus "Expired". But others rewards I used before showed "used". Does it matter? According to T&C, the $5 bonus will not show up in my account till 30 Apr. Should I need to worry?

          That won't matter, as long as you have an eligible purchase on 19th Feb then yes the bonus will show up on your account by 30th April the latest. No need to worry.

        The normal cashback did not track, this is the first time it has happened in a while with eBay, did it the exact same way via the extension with adblockers off and it didn't work. If I could have your assistance further that would be appreciated, can provide proof of purchase. Thanks.

      I was about to make a purchase and also noticed the "ShopBack Extension does not work on Amazon." The list of inclusion/exclusions for Amazon AU is ridiculous and if I'm not mistaken the category's that are valid change regularly?

      Same problem: On chrome there is no popup when browsing amazon.au. OP does it meet the criteria if I click on the shopback extension icon in chrome and go to amazon.au that way?

      • edit. In the end I used mozilla firefox. The Shopback extension seems to work in firefox. Although I still had to click the red shopback extension icon and click activate cashback. It then turned green, so looks ok.

          Apologies for the awkward wording - no you don't have to. But you could buy eBay gift cards through our app (and earn cashback on them), then use them towards an eBay purchase via the extension.

    The $2 bonus will not appear right away. It will appear as Pending in all qualifying accounts by 31st May 2021 11.59PM AEST.

    The timeframe to confirm eligibility is too long. You can follow up tracking in a week's time. You can confirm Challenges eligible after your item is tracked. But you have to wait 2 months for this Reward to be confirmed, even your purchase has been tracked. Doesn't help your support rep just give that standard "it will appear within the next two months as pending". As such I don't think it is a good deal

      Understand this, although with a few system limitations at the moment we currently have to resort to running these extension initiatives manually as opposed to having it as a challenge. It's still a current work in progress to get this automated, but our tech team is well aware of this.

      Having a bonus offer (even if it might take 2 months) is better than having none at all, and prior to having the challenges feature this was the standard for all bonus offers we ran.

        I must balance this that this doesn't always happen, and when ducks line up it is smooth sailing. But when there is uncertainty with tracking, this creates more animosity than joy of additional bonus.

        In going through the rewards I participated since last year, your condition is going from "The bonus will be credited into your ShopBack account by 2 months", "reward will be showing up as pending in 7 days" to "will be appear as Pending in your ShopBack account in 2 months time". Evidently, the terms are changing, so does my sentiment.

          Means seeing something like this in your cashback history.

          For challenges (not rewards like this extension bonus), the timeframe can vary as the bonus cashback is configured to land in your cashback history when the regular cashback for the qualifying transaction turns confirmed. Purchases from Super Store (which includes our gift card portal) only takes up to 2 weeks, compared to something like eBay which takes around 60 days.

            For rewards, you don't know when in the 2 months it shifts to pending under Activity just like in your screenshot. It could be days, or weeks, or never. Following up with rep other than you is just yeah mate, terms say it could be pending in next 2 months. Just wait. Don't call us, we call you…. Okay, Centrelink.

            And thanks to the screenshot for reminding me that ALL of the rewards are marked as expired, regardless whether they have been credited or shown as pending. Only way to cross check is the code provided in the Activity list. (One area that is better than Cashrewards)

            Must say, it is not as bad as that Singles Day which made it disappear from people's accountd twice. I'm glad I didn't participate in that one.

              Yes, as this is automatic. But nothing goes into your cashback history till the normal cashback associated with the qualifying purchase is confirmed, which is months later anyway (unless it's something like a gift card portal purchase). We know the key thing with challenges is at least you'll see the progress updates.

              For rewards, you don't know when in the 2 months it shifts to pending under Activity just like in your screenshot. It could be days, or weeks, or never.

              Yes, you are correct there, and with Rewards we have no way of linking it up to transactions, thus you don't get the progress updates for these, but only when the cashback is manually added to your Cashback History. Thus we try to steer away from rewards and use challenges when we can.

    Rep, I bought 2 items from the same store in Aliexpress (both watch bands, different color). They tracked fine for cashback, but as usual you guys track these individually. I did buy in the same transaction, individually its under $5 but total is over. will I get the bonus cashback please?
