Bonus Cashback Master Thread for Cashrewards and ShopBack

Hi All,

Thought it would be a good idea to start a master thread for all those popular bonus cashback deals from Cashrewards and Shopback. This will be a one-stop shop to check whether those bonus cashback offers have been tracked and paid into your accounts. I think this is particularly useful since the expected payment date is sometimes a couple of months after the actual purchase date. I usually use the reminder function but thought it would be easier to have everything in one place. Hopefully others will too.

      Yes same - although just putting this post together made me realise I had forgotten to place a reminder on a couple I had participated in (probably just old age!).

      Nevertheless I find it interesting to compare the two and clearly how Cashrewards has been much more active in this space recently. Due to upcoming IPO perhaps?

      Are you referring to the discounted Woolworths gift cards? I believe these were removed from both Shopback and Cashrewards on 19 Nov.

          On the other hand, you can still obtain discounts elsewhere. For example:
          * 5% off WISH gift cards from RACV (or any Royal Auto Club affiliate) if you are a member
          * 4% off Woolworths and 3% off WISH from Entertainment Book
          * 3% off Woolworths and WISH from AGL etc.

    Cashback confirmed from Shopback for offers dated 30 Sep 2020 and 13 Oct 2020

    I have moved these to paid status.

    Also, it seems like the Shopback tracking of bonus cashback is now redundant since the launch of the 'Challenges' section in the app. However, I will continue to monitor for Cashrewards offers :)

    Updated with Shopback challenges (eBay and 'any store') over cyber weekend. Please note there is no date when the cashback will be awarded for these challenges.

    If you have satisfied the criteria, it should say "completed" and "reward pending" in the Shopback app. It will be good to see what the turnaround is like when these start flowing through.

    Thank you for submitting a missing Cashback claim.

    We have investigated and found that the merchant has deemed ShopBack ineligible to earn commissions on this transaction which results in us being unable to pass the Cashback along to you.

    That said, we know how frustrating missing Cashback can be, and will now take additional steps to appeal on your behalf directly with AliExpress.

    Please allow us some time for this to happen, this process can take up to 35 days depending on how fast we hear back from AliExpress.

    What chance this is going anywhere other than me not receiving cashback?

    Appreciate the effort but it would be so much better if they just credited the cashback immediately or at least tracked it in the app.

    Who knows how much I've lost due to not following up on untracked transactions.

      Yes that would be ideal, wouldn't it? Tracking is the number one risk/issue in using these companies. In my experience, they work more often than not and that's probably why we persist to save a few bucks.

      I'm sure you have already submitted a 'missing cashback' request which is what I would have done as well.

      Unfortunately this thread cannot help with your individual purchases but hopefully serves as a reminder for those bonus cashback offers.

    Great effort, here because I have several untracked bonus offers.
    Am wondering if default Firefox privacy settings might be interfering with tracking.
    All these random $5 and $10 items I would never had paid full price for, bit of a bummer…

    Just wondering if anyone knows if there is a chance of making a claim outside of the claim period as I made a pruchase based on this cashback but it was rejected for some reason and I want to know why? but I can't see how I can make a claim on this now that it is out of claim period?

      Sorry - as this was a targeted offer, I haven't included it in the above.

      There's probably not much chance making a claim since the window has passed. Try contacting CR support to get an explanation why the cashback was rejected

      @skylinebmwm5 I haven't had that issue before. Sounds like you might have to contact the help desk? Using your existing cashback is an alternative if you have sufficient balance.

        All my physical music purchases got rejected, a book and hand wash order cashback confirmed without any hiccups but didn't trigger the $3 bonus reward.
        All categories were eligible for cashback on that day.

        I emailed Shopback the Amazon order confirmation, confirmed with them no changes were made and thankfully they topped up the rejected cashbacks.

        Need @gotyourback to check what's going on with the $3 bonus reward and the unjustified rejected cashbacks.

    I have received confirmation on Shopback's $5 eBay offer dated 30 Nov 2020.

    The other $5 unspecified store offer on the same day is dependent on the individual store tracking terms. I will await others to confirm prior to moving it from the pending table.

    Does anybody have this reason for being pending for the shopback bonus?

    I already have an account linked for withdrawal and previous bonuses were approved as normal.
