  • Legit question, can it be anything above $50? Or has to be $50?

    • +8

Any value of $50 or above :)

Better than a kick in the pants.

    • +2

It's a cash in the back.

  • +1

Has anyone else had problems with receiving emails from Woolworths? Lately they don't arrive and I have to contact customer service

    • +1

Today I had a few massively delayed purchases, apparently there's some IT issue going on..

Normally they deliver within 20 minutes but my purchase this morning at 9:30 am or so delivered at 1:26pm or so.. well within the 24 hour delivery timeframe but certainly not as fast as normal

      • +2

maybe its related to the gmail outage today

I have bought a few items on cashrewards bonuses, but I never got any of the bonus during the last 3 months of participating it. its hard to track it if you don't make a record for your own keeping. I just don't fall for it anymore.

    • +16

We've paid every single bonus on or before the due date, provided terms were followed. There would have been a stampede by now if we hadn't.

      • +3

I've never had an issue with tracking. Just follow the T&C's and you should be good =)

      • -1

They must be thinking of ShopBack - they have had multiple stampedes. You guys on the other hand, are legit .

    • I have bought a few items on cashrewards bonuses, but I never got any of the bonus during the last 3 months of participating it

I got mine from the last deal that ran 3 weeks ago

If there's any issues, just raise a ticket?

      • +4

Agreed. I have received all my bonus as well. In case of any issues the customer support is very prompt with their responses.

    • I read your comment as follows.

its hard to track it if you don't make a record for your own keeping.

      I didn't keep a record & have no idea what I'm owed.

I just don't fall for it anymore.

I couldn't be bothered keeping a record so don't want free money anymore.

    • Never ever had any issues whatsoever

I get an extra 10% cashback on top from my MCO/CRO card so this makes Woolies so cheap for me.

I pay $47.50, maybe get the $2 if it manages to track (never sure with Cashrewards) and get ~$4.76 back straightaway.

The CRO card is probably my best financial decision this year.

    • What is the CRO card?

    • 10% cashback with Woolworths/Aldi for 3 months, CAPPED AT $50 USD equivalent per month, afterwards reverting to standard 1-5% cashback.

That's after staking/risking 1000 CRO for 6 months and you need to continue to hold it there, no?
      Which is currently.. $226 AUD?

      • Yep, but I've staked more for the Jade card.

It pays for my Netflix and Spotify, and the 3% cashback is nice.

I actually enjoy the 20% return on the exchange for staking CRO, 18% for the CRO staked on the app portion.

Besides the fact that I am still staked for a couple of month, I'm theoretically positive (by about $1k) so everything I am getting now is a bonus (assuming CRO doesn't crash before my stake is up).

        • Besides the fact that I am still staked for a couple of month, I'm theoretically positive (by about $1k) so everything I am getting now is a bonus (assuming CRO doesn't crash before my stake is up).

Don't you need to keep your stake at its current level to continue to "enjoy the benefits"?

A gain is only realised when you capture Sell - Buy price..

          • @cwongtech: you can just sell all your cashback straight into TAUD or USDT and only keep the initial stake as CRO

      • yep that's right

226 AUD minus $50 USD referral bonus, so like $150AUD. i've made that back a few times over since I've had the card in the last few months

free spotify and Netflix helps too

        • I thought your post had said $300 AUD at the time?

          Did CRO drop?

          • @cwongtech: It's between hovering 21-24c (AUD) last few weeks

          • @cwongtech: no it didnt, they changed the pricing system from MCO to CRO to consolidate into one currency and since they like round numbers the final amount comes out to less now

Also the AUD has appreciated a bit :)

edit: had a quick look, CRO has appreciated around 33% since my last post

  • +3

Cheers. Bought and already got the gift card :)

They have recently enabled barcode support in the Woolworths Money app which makes using these that little bit easier. Also if you didn't know already, you can add the cards directly into the app by pressing the link in the email.

    • Sweet thanks for letting me know. Glad to see they have implemented barcode support.

    • +3

Yes, the barcode in the Woolworths Money app (and the related feature on the self-service terminals), is much easier, and means not having to type the number into the physical EFTPOS keypad. Hooray!

      • +1

Just ensure that you have the latest app as older versions do not show bar ode.

        • +1

Oh yes, good point Borg (thank you!). Must update app, since resistance is futile.

    • +2

If only they allow us to scan the PIN too, or even sweeter, embed it in the same barcode scan. The less we need to touch the machine the better I think, in this current climate.

Anyway it’s already way better than Coles so I wouldn’t complain too much though.

  • +2

    Thanks TA!

  • Now I just need an everyday rewards card, have signed up several times but never once been sent the actual card in the mail :(

    • +2

You don't need a physical card if you have a smart phone.

Some card-storing apps will let you enter the card number, and will auto-generate the barcode for you. You can log into your account to find out your card number.

I just checked the app I use, and it has this ability. I tried it, and it generated several barcode types, one of which is correct format.

      Here's the app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=protect.card_l…

      • Thanks, will give it a whirl and see how I fare.

        • The code you want is the same type as the barcodes on everything you buy, the barcodes that you scan at the supermarket. On the left edge of the barcode are two equal-width black stripes, and the white between the stripes is also the same width. The same pattern is repeated on the right-hand edge of the barcode.

        • The woolworths money app stores your card details and card number/barcode as well as e-/gift vouchers. There is a new app, Rewards, which stores card details/barcode too.

  • nice, i can double this up with the crypto.com Card 10% cashback too :D

  • +3

Bonus credited by 31/8? Am I reading this right? That's super fast :)
Great offer. Thank You TA & CR.

  • The page is stuck on "Congratulations … , you're on your way to
Save 5.00% at Woolworths Gift Cards"

I also tried using the link "Click here if it takes longer than 30 seconds to transfer to Woolworths Gift Cards." and it doesn't do anything.

    • Maybe try a different browser?
I find it hangs if I use FireFox but it's happy in Chrome.

    • +1

Not sure why it's doing that for you. Tested on Edge, Chrome, Firefox, Safari… all ok here. Please try a different browser, or try clearing your cache?

      • Tried clearing cache and tried on Safari, Firefox and Chrome.
If I check the browser's console, I can see some requests giving 403, 404, but I can't be sure if they are the cause.

Should I raise a ticket or something?

        • +2

No need for a ticket. Please try four more things, hopefully we'll get to the bottom of it. Log out of your CR account and back in. Try via an incognito window. Try via a mobile browser. Try via the CR app. Also, is the issue only happening via the Woolies GC merchant page or other stores as well? Thanks.

          • @tightarse: Ok, this is weird, other merchants work fine (tried with TGG and New Balance) it's just Woolworths Gift Cards.
However if I use my 4G connection instead of my home wifi, I was able to get redirected to Woolworths Gift Cards and I noticed I'm not seeing as many errors in the browser console. Seems like using my wifi network some traffic is getting blocked. I don't have any special setup, so I'm not sure.

            • @bikuta: If you use adguard DNS that could affect it. I created a tasker icon so I could switch it on/off easier

    • Had that happen before, log out and log in solved my issue.

Was a long time ago now

  • come back again! wow!

  • +1

Is it $50 before the 5% discount or after the 5% discount?

    • +4

Before the 5% discount. You buy a $50 card for $47.50, then get $2 cashback on top of that.

      • thanks!

  • +1

    Thanks TA!

  • +1

    Bought one, Thank you TA!

Strange, didn't receive a tax invoice this time but got my giftcard, hope that doesn't affect the CR tracking.

  • I don't know why but every purchase I make has tracking issue with cashrewards. I never had a issue with shopback.

  • I haven't receive the bonus $2 cashback from the promotion on 31/7/2020. Is there anyone encountering the same issue?

    • If you activated prior and purchased per the terms, you were paid. Please look for two transactions dated 31/07/20. One is the WISH card you bought, the other is the $2 bonus. Example here. Thanks.

    • +3

I'm in same boat! I can't keep up with tracking every $2 here and there, I assume at least half of which never pay out as advertised.

      • +1

The onus is surely on you to keep track of any bonuses. Why make that assumption? We always pay out. Please see here.

  • +4

    Thanks TA.

Love your work. Every bit counts.

  • Over 3 hours since purchase and still not tracked by CR, fingers crossed!

    • +1

Not sure what you mean. It’s an instant discount. You mean delivery of the e-gift card? Please see the OP which provides details on how to contact Woolies re any issues with your purchase. Thanks.

      • I got the 5% discount, I assumed there is CR tracking for the purposes of the $2 cashback

        • +1

Please read the dot point in bold in the OP :)

          • +1

@tightarse: Oh right, so no way of knowing if we will get it until we do or we don't.

            • +1

@harthagan: Not sure how much more I can add to this. We’ve been running these promos for a very long time. If you follow the terms, you will receive your bonus. It’s really as simple as that. We would have been called out a long time ago if members were being deceived.

              • @tightarse: Ahh ok, well this is my first rodeo with such a promotion. Forgive my ignorance :)

  • +2

As always TA. Worked like a charm. Cheers for the post.

  • +1

    thanks

  • +1

Previous one tracked fine against $50 for this little black duck. Hence went again for another $50, thanks

    Thanks mate

  • Anyone had success in getting Everyday rewards points when buying the gift cards? It keeps asking for my ER Card number, and I entered it in a few times, but didn't get any points, so I stopped doing it.

    • Do we get point for buying gift cards?

    • Not sure why there is an option for Rewards card number while purchasing woolworths gift card but found this on their T&C page.

On what purchases will I not collect Everyday Rewards points at the Earn Businesses?

You will not collect Everyday Rewards points on any money you spend on smoking products, gift cards (including Woolworths WISH Gift Cards, e-gift cards and iTunes), mobile recharge, Woolworths Mobile, travel cards, tickets, cash outs, delivery charges, donations, Carpet Care, lottery products, Pre-order Kiosks, BIG W Photos, BIG W eBay, lay-bys fees and purchases using a Caltex StarCard, a Country Age Pension Fuel Card or on a charge account.

Additional exclusions for participating Caltex locations are: purchases at locations that don’t sell fuel such as The Foodary Bondi Junction, third party businesses that operate within a Caltex location such as Guzman y Gomez and Boost Juice, accommodation, AdBlue, amusement machines, travel/bus/freight tickets, smoking/tobacco products and accessories, deposit and insurance services, dry cleaning and laundry services, fax and photocopy, gift cards (including StarCash), handset kits, hire services, maps and directories, pay phones, phone cards and accessories, Post Office accessories including postage stamps, prepaid and post-paid internet, prepaid and post-paid starter kits, showers, tolls. Points can be collected on fuel purchases up to a maximum of $150.

  • Only problem with my local Woolies is they seem to have less stock compared to Coles.

  • +1

    Thanks TA

  • +1

I just followed the steps and bought

Can't go wrong with this many OZB upvoting a deal

    Damn you guys a thrifty!

The main issue is I don't even shop at woollies… if only TA could come up with the same deal for Aldi!

  • thanks. perfect timing. just used up my previous one.

  • -1

There have been many deals for $2 bonus on as low as $5 WW gift card. $50 seems a fair bit higher.

  • 523 upvotes Thursday night 9:54pm for $2 discount. Am I understanding this correctly?

    • +1

It's $2 for free for those that use. Whats the problem with 523 votes?

    • +1

My date is gonna appreciate the $2 I spend to get some nice soft serve at Hungry Jacks.

I mean this is OzBargain afterall.

    • It's easy money especially when you usually buy it anyway. What's more ridiculous is that panamax deal - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/493574 where you would have to physically go in-store to save a whopping $1.80.

    • Agreed it seems strange, especially when min gift card value has been $5 -$10 previously. Happy to stand corrected if anyone can link to previous deals that can substantiate evidence reasoning why this egiftcard with 10 x the min spend, yet still only the same $2, would get the upvotes it has.

  • Purchased the gift card around 530pm, still waiting for it to arrive in my email :(

    • That's around the same time as I did. Mine arrived in under 10mins.

      • Usually like you said 10mins tops, but not this time…I suppose 48hrs is the limit..

        • +1

5 mins for me, from confirmation to arrival.

    • I ordered mine at 4:30pm and 17 hours on it hasn’t arrived. In the past, it usually arrives in about 10 minutes. Both order confirmation and tax invoice arrived shortly after payment. I used the same credit card I’ve used in the past.

      • Still waiting

        • Me too. Purchased yesterday at around 5 pm.

          • @Purple: Update: I just received my egift card (10.40am) order was placed yesterday at 5.15pm.

        • Got mine too finally

      • +1

Mine has arrived, yesterday there was definitely delays.

        Otherwise, call them up
