    Your card details are never linked/stored on Cashrewards - once you click Shop Now, everything happens at True Rewards.

    To unlink your card from True Rewards, (1) go to payment for another gift card, (2) go to checkout - just before hitting pay you will see your card details, (3) click the bin icon and it will be removed.

    Btw has anyone figured out a foolproof way to scan the Coles gift card barcode? It never seems to scan (both flybuys and main scanner) either phone or prinout, and invariably we end up having the type in the extra long code and pin.

      I used to struggle as well, make sure your phone brightness is set to max and enlarge the barcode a little (if using phone). The flybuys scanner works better than the main scanner in my experience.

          I actually struggle with WW too and always just key the numbers (but not as long as Coles).

          I actually just take screenshots of the GC and save them on my phone to use.

      If you have a android phone, save it to Google pay, I find it is much easy to scan in Google pay than in pdf viewer.

        For Android, recently I found this unofficial coles giftcard app made by an indie developer which is pretty neat.
        It allows one to store flybuys as well as giftcards barcode and pin, with additional to a check giftcard balance feature - because coles doesn't release a public API to check giftcard balance, the app opens the coles giftcard balance checker website and grab the data from there, looks crude but it works.
        Downside compare to the official woolies giftcard app is everytime u spent on a giftcard, you have to manually press the button to check balance and update the balance, but still better than nothing.
        Upside is the barcode scanning works everytime :)
        And of course due to it being unofficial app, there's some risk involve so judge yourself from the ratings and reviews it received. I've been using it for past few months without issue.

          If you are storing your Flybuys details on this app, make sure you double check and confirm that the barcode matches up with your card's.

          I entered mine and the barcode generated was different.

            @tatasauce: Been tracking my Flybuys points without issue. I just checked and the barcode indeed looks different than the cards, however I used another phone as the barcode scanner and scanned the barcode in the app, it translate to the same Flybuys number so seems alright.

      I store it in Samsung Pay and use the vertical scanner. Make sure the screen brightness is not too dark. A bad screen protector can affect it too.

      Been using this app Card Smash to store all my gift cards for a while. Works like a charm. Developer is super quick to respond.

      1) Can group by merchant and see total value of all cards available. Once you click merchant, it picks the lowest value card and there is option below to switch to othe gift cards.

      2) Can update balance once transaction is done.

      3) Can sync all cards in family via dropbox.

      I have shared a snap below to show how it looks. Now i don't have to worry to star those emails, take printouts, making sure that i carry physical cards etc.

        Thanks, looks good but the only thing is it doesn't check for the giftcard balance and each family member have to remember to update the card balance after every transaction. Kind of wish coles have something like the woolworths giftcard app where the balance automatically updates

          I prefer a consolidated solution for all my gift cards from different stores/retailers, for which this app works great.

          If its not a native gift card to app, no app will offer auto update of balance due to Captcha to be entered.

          I used multiple apps before setting on this.

          There is a button on top right corner to increase brightness for scanning when card is selected.

          You should have two amounts in your acct. A $5 bonus and the cashback you received for purchase. When the cashback is approved (usually 3-4 days), the bonus will approve around a day later :)

    Processed my Coles giftcard. Partner is having issues as everyone else mentioned.

    1) In mobile mode, just click shop now once
    2) blank windows will popup, with the minimise icon in top right. Leave it as is.
    3) It will finally load after a few minutes allowing you to pay
    4) Once you click pay it will get stuck on processing window for a further minute or so before seeing Gift Sent

    Not sure if it's half way fixed or what, but what you can do to get around the problem is to go to the specific gift card page and click on the "Shop Now" button, it won't work at first and then if you go to a different "tab" of the browser then come back to it a few seconds later, it (Show Now button) will work. I just completed a purchase for Playstation Store GC purchase.
