Hi everyone. Another fantastic birthday bonus for all our members. Before buying, make sure you enter our competition to win a Purple iPhone 12 & double cashback for a whole year. Submit your details just once, then every shop of $20 or more gets you an entry. Good luck!

The $5 bonus will show as pending in your Cashrewards account immediately upon activation of the offer (no confirmation email is sent). This will be automatically approved within 7 days of any associated qualifying purchase being approved (as per the terms of the store). Please ignore the bonus estimated approval date in your account as this is simply a placeholder. Most gift card purchases are approved within 5 days of purchase.

Please read the terms below carefully - it will save a lot of questions. Ensure you activate the bonus prior to shopping. Once activated, shop as normal via the 'Shop Now' button on Cashrewards. Valid for purchases made from 9am 29/05/21 to 11:59pm 29/05/21 (AEST). Thanks for your support as always. Please stay safe, and enjoy :)

Find our gift card page here with up to 6% cashback on gift cards. We've recently added four new cards - Splurge, Indulge, Thrill, and Coles. The cashback rate for Coles is small for now, however the bonus still represents a 10% saving on a $50 gift card (nothing to sneeze at). Coles & Foot Locker gift cards are for in-store redemption only (not online). Please note there may be limited stock of some $50 cards, so first in, best dressed.

$5 Bonus Promo Terms:

  • To be eligible for the AUD $5 bonus, first activate the promotion via the main link in this post, then shop as normal via the Gift Cards Page on Cashrewards.

  • Bonus is eligible when making a qualifying gift card purchase of AUD $50 or more in a single transaction.
  • Bonus will be added automatically to your Cashrewards account as pending upon activation of this offer. Bonus will be approved within 7 days of any associated qualifying purchase being approved, as per the terms of the store.
  • Bonus is over and above the advertised cashback rates which still apply to the transaction.
  • Bonus is limited to one per Cashrewards account. Additional transactions do not qualify for additional bonuses.
  • Bonus is ineligible if an order is cancelled, changed, returned, rejected, or if you purchase an ineligible product.

get coles giftcard then amazon gittcard @coles and pay by coles giftcard at self checkout.
you can put coles giftcard on google pay so you can use it tap and pay.

      • Are you sure this works?

I have a coles gift card on google pay and it does say you need to scan the barcode to use it.

        • keen to know.

          • @ChipsChicky: I don't think this actually works since the instruction clearly state to scan at the flybuys scanner and then type in the pin.

      • On the same lines, I was thinking to buy Woolies egift card on eBay using eBay gift card but it doesn't work.

  • $50 eBay gift card to buy $45 Pokemon Snap. 😁

Does anyone know if True Rewards open / can be contacted by phone today? I bought the, wrong gift card. Silly me. Does anyone know if I can cancel the purchase and but the correct one?

    • I don't believe you can cancel incorrect purchases, reading their terms and conditions.

Thanks. Do you know if True Rewards can be contacted today? T tried to call and got recorded message and can't seem to make out what the message is about. Volume so low and I checked my phone volume and it was on the highest.

        • No only Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm as written above in the original post.

        • You could email them but I don't know if they would answer/reply over the weekend.

Can someone tell me what $50 Choice gift card can be swapped to? Specifically, are the following gift cards not available?

    • Amazon
    • Catch
    • Coles
    • Google Play
    • Uber
    • Uber Eats
    • Not sure why I was negged. The CR and TR websites don't mention exactly which gift cards it can be swapped to, unlike Splurge, Indulge and Thrill GCs. For these, you can scroll down to their "About" section to see the brands and denominations.

      • No list of stores is available because in the description for the Choice GC it states that list of stores is subject to change depending on availability.

        • Yes, I understand that it can change at any time. But it would be nice to have some kind of inclusion/exclusion list to have an idea, especially for someone who hasn't purchased one before.

    ty op. keep them comin'

  • Thanks TA!
Got the $50 coles card but my browser crashed whilst processing :-/The funds have come off my card, but no email yet (been an hour).
How long before it arrived in your inbox guys? TIA

Are there two transactions showing in your CR acct ($5 bonus & GC % cashback)? Not sure if you're comment is about the CR tracking email or the TR GC. Cheers.

      • Thanks for the quick reply TA!
I can only see the pending $5 bonus.
On my credit card, I have both the $1 test amount (to get the linking code) and $50 for the gift card.
Yet to receive any emails for the actual gift card.

        • +4

Please turn on messaging in your settings and PM me your CR email address and the email address you used for TR. Thanks.

@tightarse: All sorted now - thanks TA for amazing service😊

            • @MissP: May I ask how did it get it sorted. It happened to me last time when similar offer was on?

              • @apple0604: Sure! TA kindly checked out the back end for me. As my browser crashed, the purchase hadn't gone through.
I'm just going to keep an eye on the pending amounts on credit card over the next few days - hopefully/expect they will be removed as no purchase.

                • @MissP: Thanks. Like I said happened to me before. Charges on my credit card disappeared a few days later.

  • +1

    Thanks OP & CR.

Aww, facepalm, just checked my CR transactions history & noticed that I had a credit for a Kogan $50 GC, which I forgot about, was meant to be used for a Air fryer I ordered a few weeks back but didn't.

Yep, dumbest thing I've done all year.
Anyone else ever forgot about a CG?

    • +1
      • Thanks for the link, I did order a 12L Air fryer a few weeks back, the GC was meant for that purpose, but I didn't use it.
I have the fryer now, yet to use it.

With that GC and the one I got today (Thrill Gift Card), I have 2 cards ($50x2) GCards to use up, doh.

    • +2

Yup me lmao, I went through my emails and found about 10 unused gift cards worth hundreds. Now I've put them all in an excel sheet

      • +1

If not manage them well, just waste money. I store all cards in a few draft emails for easy access. The key is not to trust your memory and leave them as every other sinking email. Or star them as important emails.

        • +1

          Great idea.

I have physical cards all in one place, it's eGC/evouchers that's easy to loose track of.
I have a Woolies & Supercheap Auto GC somewhere amongst my emails.

        • Yea exactly. I know put them in a spreadsheet with date and everything and mark them off as ‘used’ as I use them

      • +1

I checked gift card sites , emails and found thousands and I'm only about half way through the double check .
The main problem is the merchants you have to ring for refund to bank and not back to gift cards .

OMG missed out on Coles :(

    • Any chance they will come back in stock before midnight @TA?

      • +2

Unfortunately not, sorry We were allocated a certain amount of $50 denominations for each card for this promotion, and obviously Coles proved very popular.

  • Edit 8:00pm AEST - True Rewards has advised that all denominations of Coles GCs are now sold out.

  • Forgot oh well.

Folks, check your credit cards to see if there were any unauthorised payments after this purchase.

    • You should always be checking your credit cards for unauthorised purchases … What are you implying here?

      • I'm seeing if anyone else received unauthorised purchases last night after TR purchases.

        • +1

Not on my end (I just checked). Seems the devices you’re using are compromised, or you’ve just had bad luck in being a victim of credit card fraud.

        • All good with my cc.

  • The $5 bonus cashback for a $50 Coles GC purchased during this promo has been "Declined" this morning. Have lodged a support ticket to see why!

    • +1

Hi. I have your details from previous correspondence and have just checked your account. As you can see in this post, all bonuses were approved a few days after the promo. The reason your was declined however is this:

Bonus activation time: 29/05/2021 17:04:53 AEST
Coles GC click time: 29/05/2021 17:04:43 AEST

You activated the bonus offer 10 seconds after clicking to buy the GC. As per the promo terms, you need activate the bonus prior to shopping. If you need screenshots, please let me know. Thanks!

      • Hey TA, thanks for the reply. It's so strange as I defiantly did activate the bonus before purchasing the giftcard. All good thanks mate!

        • +8

Hi again. As explained, you must activate the offer first. The click you generated to True Rewards was made prior to activation and this was the click responsible for the sale. If you had generated a new click after activation, you would have been fine. Having said that, I've just approved the $5 in good will as a one off and will close off the associated ticket. Thank you.

  • Hi TA, thanks again for your time and I appreciate you approving it in good will. I defiantly wasn't expecting it to be approved as it was a slight error on my behalf but once again, thank you! :)
