Hi everyone. Some of you most likely received advance notice of this in an email last night. The bonus is part of our family & friends push on Cashrewards, but open to all - so feel free to share.

The $5 bonus will show as pending in your Cashrewards immediately upon activation of the offer (no confirmation email is sent). This will be automatically approved within 7 days of any associated qualifying purchase being approved (as per the terms of the store). Please ignore the bonus estimated approval date in your account as this is simply a placeholder. Most gift card purchases are approved within 5 days of purchase.

Please read the terms below carefully - it will save a lot of questions. Ensure you activate the bonus prior to shopping.       They are not excluded. It means cashback will only be paid on affiliate products on Aliexpress or Amazon products that do not fall under the 0% cashback category.

      If you are trying to purchase a gift card from the gift card portal and you can’t or don’t want to use a different card, I’d suggest you call True Rewards. Their payment processor (Stripe) can be rather picky and flag a transaction as suspicious, even though it probably isn’t.

        Problem resolved. I had to update the card details, followed by the pre-authorisation of $1 with the code. From there I had to enter the code which went through without a problem. But the card was declined after putting in the security code. Purchase the gift card on a new tab and the was payment successful.

    I’m looking to purchase from an online retailer who processes my payments in AUD, but reports the value of my transaction to Cashrewards in USD. Should I be worried about the eligibility of my $5 bonus if my purchase is for something that is (for example) AUD $5.01? I’m worried that currency conversion rates for the reported transaction value will make me ineligible for the bonus.

      It won't be an issue, just remember if it's coming from overseas (which I assume it is ) the GST component won't count towards your $5 min spend. Your minimum should therefore be $5.50.

        The store is Fanatical.

        The invoice for the last order I placed with them didn’t list GST as a separate line item, but it says below the total charged in AUD All prices include tax where applicable.

        I checked their support page on VAT/GST, and it looks they include GST for purchases made from Australia. I presume I should be fine if I spend AUD $5.01.

      a) this is probably not the best place to 'report' this to be looked into.
      b) even if it was - you've give no details to make even looking worth the effort.
