$3 Bonus Promo Terms - read carefully as it will save a lot of questions:

  1. To be eligible for the $3 bonus, you must first activate the promotion on this page, then purchase a Choice gift card of $30 denomination (or higher) via the Gift Card Page on Cashrewards (link is on the activation page).

    The following list of participating retailers was extracted from a $30 Choice gift card a few seconds ago.

    The only changes I have noticed in the last couple of months of running regular extracts from $30 Choice gift cards:

    • JB Hi-Fi mysteriously disappeared over a weekend, then was quickly added back.
    • Sephora was removed at the start of December, and I think it had to do with the (now resolved) issues they were having with their gift card system. Sephora was added back about a week ago.

        If I remember correctly, I think JB Hi-Fi has been there since the Choice gift card was first introduced on the Cashrewards platform. It was definitely there when I started running regular extracts from Choice gift cards earlier this year.

            @DoctorCalculon: I think Coles only appeared for less than a week, then disappeared again. For all we know, the inclusion of Coles could have been an accident!

            I'm trying to find specific dates, but because of all of the changes I've made to the FAQ page, I am struggling to find a specific date…

    A reminder that if you wish to do so, unlinking your card from True Rewards is easy once you've completed your purchase. Just follow these steps:

    1. Go to payment for another gift card.
    2. Go to checkout - you'll see your card details just before hitting pay.
    3. Click the bin icon and it will be removed.

      Xbox probably appears on a higher denomination of the Choice gift card.

      Xbox would not be the only participating retailer does not appear on smaller denominations. For example, Harvey Norman should appear on the Choice gift card, but its smallest denomination in the past has been $50. I don't have a $50 Choice gift card on hand, but I suspect it appears on that one and higher denominations.

      The assumption I've made all this time is that Xbox actually appears on any Choice gift card. Keep in mind that it also says in bold on the gift card page on the CR website:

      Brands & values listed within the Choice Card are subject to change based on availability. This is solely at the discretion of participating brands.

      Xbox used to be on the $30 Choice gift card, but it disappeared a number of months ago.

      The workaround is to swap to an Amazon gift card, EB Games gift card or JB Hi-Fi gift card and use those to purchase Xbox gift cards. For example:

      • Amazon: swap for $40 in Amazon gift cards, then go to the Amazon website and purchase a $25 Xbox digital gift card… and then figure out what to do with the remaining $15 Amazon gift card credit! Alternatively, use the $40 Amazon gift card credit to purchase a $40 Ultimate Everyone eGift Card and then use that either at JB Hi-Fi or EB Games to purchase Xbox gift cards.

      • EB Games: swap for $40 in EB Games gift cards, then go to a physical EB Games store and use an EB Games gift card to pay for Xbox gift cards.

      • JB Hi-Fi: swap for $40 in JB Hi-Fi gift cards, then go to the JB Hi-Fi website and purchase a $25 Xbox digital gift card and $15 Xbox digital gift card, using JB Hi-Fi gift cards as a payment method.

      To minimise hassle, I think the JB Hi-Fi gift card approach would be more straightforward, because you will not need to leave home to obtain Xbox gift cards. However, I think I have illustrated that you have options!

      Yes, I used to use the disposable Revolut cards a while back, but stopped because one of my payments got blocked by True Rewards as the constantly changing card details was flagged by their system as a security/fraud issue.

      It was easily resolved by contacting True Rewards via live chat (if I remember correctly), but since then I've just used regular/static cards to avoid the issue occuring again.

    I can’t seem to use the choice gift cards I bought. Every time I try to redeem says Trurewards is under maintenance. Been like that all day.
