$2 Bonus Promo Terms - read carefully as it will save a lot of questions:

  1. To be eligible for the $2 bonus, you must first activate the promotion on this page, then purchase an Amazon gift card of $20 denomination (or higher) via the Gift Card Page on Cashrewards (link is on the activation page).
  2. After activation, gift card purchase must be made by 5pm AEST 26/06/2023. Bonus will decline if purchase is made after 5pm AEST.
  3. Activations are capped at 3500. Once activation limit is reached, you can still purchase until 5pm AEST (provided you first activated the bonus).
  4. Bonus is eligible on purchase of an Amazon gift card of $20 denomination (or higher) in a single transaction.
  5. Bonus will be added automatically to your Cashrewards account as pending upon activation of this offer. Bonus will be approved within 7 days of the associated qualifying purchase being approved, as per the terms of the store.
  6. Bonus is over and above the advertised cashback rate which still applies to the transaction.
  7. Gift card purchases through the Gift Card Page are available only via desktop or mobile browsers. They are not available via the Cashrewards App.
  8. Bonus is limited to one per Cashrewards account. Additional transactions do not qualify for additional bonuses.
  9. Cannot be used in conjunction with Cashrewards Refer-a-Friend or any other promotion that may be active at this time.

Do not activate the bonus unless you intend using it as it gives those that genuinely want to buy a gift card more opportunity to do so (bonus will decline after 14 days unless a qualifying purchase is made).       I’ve called True Rewards & they told me:

      1. They updated their payment platform/system and banks are apparently blocking payments.
      2. My 2x transactions made didnt go through on their end, so should bounce back into bank accounts in 1-2 days (sounds like others are still waiting for refunds from last time though?)

      Would be interested to know for those who could make payments, which banks they used.

        I think $0.10 is for SMS, you can empty the mobile field to avoid it next time.

    Failed payment. But have been charged for it. Happened for the last one too. I tried 5 times last one and got 5 pending charges for last time too. No good.

      I used ZipPay and got charged but shows the order something went wrong.

        I believe many gift card websites have blocked Zip’s single used card, including prezzee and giftcards.com.au.

        The pending transaction should be reversed in 1 or 2 days.

      People keep getting sucked in on these ones. All the time spent and risk taken, for the reward of $2 cashback, with a limited cap. Is it worth having a discussion on how appropriate these affiliated deals are in terms of the difficulty and error proneness of transactions, and the triviality and poor return-on-time of the cashback?

        I got 3 consecutive errors, got 3 charges on my wise and it said I can't purchase more as it said I have reached the daily limit.

    Failed multiple times here too. First with a CBA card and also multiple times with a 28 degrees card.

    Why is this payment platform SOOO shit, the same thing happens all the time whenever this deal gets posted. It fails 80% of the time in the past

    And I just noticed they charged my 28 degrees card TWICE and yet according to the website the order failed. Now I get to spend ages trying to reverse the payment for the $2 credit I never got.

    Hope I get the pending transaction cancelled.. got 4 charges on Citi and Virgin card from last deal.. definitely not just a CBA issue.. Most likely a Cashrewards issue..

    Been getting the "Oops, Something went wrong. Please try again" error for the last three of these deals. Tried a number of different cards (Westpac, Kogan, Bankwest) all with the same result. Customer service wasn't able to help.
