If you intend buying something from Amazon, please ensure you check your item's category by using my tips to help determine whether or not it's eligible for cashback. Anything at 0% cashback will void the bonus.

Edit 11am AEST: all Amazon categories are now eligible apart from the regular exclusions. See my comment in the post :)

Read the terms below carefully - it will save a lot of questions. Ensure you activate the bonus prior to shopping. Once activated, shop as normal via the 'Shop Now' (Store) or 'Activate Now' (Notifier) buttons on Cashrewards. Note specific store exclusions such as Amazon 0% categories, AliExpress non-affliliate products etc, and read all terms for the store your wish to purchase from.

$5 Bonus Promo Terms:

  1. To be eligible for the AUD $5 bonus, you must first activate the promotion via the main link in this post, then shop as normal via any active online store* on Cashrewards, excluding any purchase from the Cashrewards Gift Card Page.
  2. After activation, transaction must be made between 10:00am 13/07/23 and 11:59pm AEST 14/07/23.
  3. Bonus is eligible on qualifying purchases of AUD $30 or more in a single transaction (inclusive of GST, after any discounts, and before shipping). Sales may report to Cashrewards ex-GST so the amount shown in your account may be less than $30 - you will still be eligible for the bonus.
  4. Bonus will be added automatically to your Cashrewards account as ‘pending’ upon activation of this offer. Under some conditions, there may be a delay of up to 60 minutes for the bonus to show in your account (a tracking email is not sent for the bonus). Bonus will be approved within 7 days of any associated qualifying purchase being approved, as per the terms of the store.
  5. Bonus is over and above the advertised store cashback rates which still apply to the transaction.
  6. Transaction is valid if made online via desktop browser, Cashrewards mobile app, Cashrewards Notifier, or mobile browser.
  7. Bonus is ineligible on any purchase from the Cashrewards Gift Card Page, and ineligible on any in-store purchases.
  8. Selected stores may report orders with multiple items as individual transactions into your Cashrewards account - these are still eligible.
  9. Bonus is limited to one per qualifying Cashrewards account. Additional transactions do not qualify for additional bonuses.
  10. Bonus is ineligible if you purchase from a 0% cashback store/cashback rate, if you purchase an ineligible item, or if an order is cancelled, changed, returned, rejected. *Check individual store cashback terms and exclusions prior to purchase (see Amazon, eBay, AliExpress, BIG W etc).
  11. If buying from Amazon, you must purchase from a category with a cashback value higher than 0%. See the cashback table of rates on the Amazon merchant page on Cashrewards for more information.
  12. Fraudulent activity will result in rewards being forfeited and accounts closed.

Do not activate the bonus unless you intend using it - it will decline after 14 days unless a qualifying purchase is made. For tracking success, disable 3rd party plugins (AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, Honey, etc), VPNs, avoid browsers such as Brave, close additional browser tabs, and don't click away to other sites looking for codes etc after clicking from Cashrewards as tracking will be lost.     Great news guys!!! As at 11am AEST, Amazon has now allowed us to offer cashback on all their categories (even if only 1%), meaning the bonus is eligible on almost everything (except GCs etc). Merchant page has been updated with the rates. Enjoy :)

        Please don't - who knows what settings they have on their routers/firewalls etc. Install the app on your mobile and purchase that way.

          that is what I always did. But today iherb can't confirm my NEW mastercard cc saying "looks like another app is blocking access to Google Pay. Turn off any apps that might be drawing over and try again." I have only cashrewards open ! at the end of my wits :(

      It takes a few days as per TA comment in other post. Mine took 2 days until I received the tracking email. Amazon do it in a batch once daily

      Cashback is ineligible on the following:

      2. Purchase of gift cards, vouchers, Kindle Unlimited, Audible, mobile apps, Amazon Prime subscriptions & renewals.

      4. Purchases paid with any Amazon credit as partial or full payment.
      5. Use of any promotional codes entered manually in Amazon's 'Promotion Code' field.

      7. Items purchased from your Amazon wish list or 'saved for later' list.
      8. Items that are cancelled, returned, exchanged or refunded.
      9. GST, other taxes and delivery fees.

          My understanding is that you just can't use the 'add to cart' button when you're on your wishlist page. You need to go to the actual product page and then add it to card from there. I guess there's a bunch of extra data attached to that method that CR needs to track the purchase.

          I don't believe you need to remove it from your wishlist. That's my experience at least…

          You don't need to remove it from your wish list or Save for Later, but you do need to search for it in Amazon, and then add it from there instead of from your wish list. TA confirmed that.

    Hi OP. On the 11th it was the $5 cashback for $50 spent. It's still on pending. On left side it's stated "Amount - AUD $0.00 " And on right side it's stated REWARDS - $5.00 " .
    What does it mean?

      This is correct (ignore the $0.00). The $5 remains pending until the qualifying Amazon purchase is approved, at which time the $5 will also move to approved.

        It's more to do with complaints if declined where members have not made a qualifying purchase or not followed the terms of the promo. Just want to avoid the enquiries as much as we can :)

          The issue is that you can't tell what the bonus was for when it gets declined if you didn't use it because all it says is "Cashrewards Promotional Bonus". I've suggested a while ago, to at least include which promotion it is in the title or description to lessen these inquiries.
